Over two days, founders, engineers, researchers, and product leaders shared what they're learning as AI reshapes the way software gets built. What's working, what's not, and what they're seeing from the front lines. A huge thank you to every speaker who took the stage and shared their experience with the community. The keynote was standing room only and sessions were packed. That's what I'll remember most from DASH: the appetite developers have right now to learn from each other and figure out what comes next. Already excited for the conversations we'll be having a year from now. A big shoutout to the Marketing, Engineering, Product, Community and all Datadog teams that made this a success. Most of all, it was a chance to see Datadog's product engine in action, with 170 new capabilities launched this week alone. A few highlights: • Bits AI for Autonomous Operations — accelerating detection, investigation, and remediation across the operations lifecycle. • Bits AI for Development — with Bits Code, Testing, and Release, teams can not only write code at AI speed, but ship code at AI speed. • Core platform innovations — including Federated Logs, BYOC, Bits Database Optimization, Journey Monitoring, and Infinite Cardinality Metrics. • End-to-end AI observability — observe and secure every layer of the AI stack, from GPU Monitoring and Data Observability with full lineage, to Agent Observability and Agent Console across the entire agent lifecycle. • AI Security — including AI Guard, Bits Security Analyst, Bits Threat Hunting, and more. Yanbing Li reposted thisYanbing Li reposted thisDASH 2026: Datadog announces 170 new capabilities Datadog co-founders Olivier Pomel (CEO) and Alexis Lê-Quôc (CTO) kicked off the company’s annual DASH event this morning in New York City. They began by providing a brief overview of the company, highlighting more than 33K customers and an impressive ecosystem of world-class, AI-centric partners and strategic alliances. Alexis continued to emcee the keynote, starting with AI for Datadog and bringing on various product managers who highlighted new major upgrades to its family of Bits AI agents that continuously monitor infrastructure, surface recommended fixes, and resolve issues within guardrails teams define. Fueled by roughly 30% of its revenue in R&D, the scope of what was announced at DASH included a whopping 170 new capabilities, displayed as a stunning galaxy of stars as you can see below. This isn’t a roadmap, folks. We’re talking actual GA’d launches! Chief Product Officer Yanbing Li also addressed the audience, explaining how Datadog is using production-grade AI to help customers accelerate their software development and operations loop. She shared some important lessons framed around three core questions every developer should be asking themselves: 1. Before you take an AI system into production, does it work not just in a demo, not just in a benchmark, but consistently, reliably in production for real users? 2. Is it safe and secure? Can you trust it? Can you govern it? 3. Does it have the right economics? Can you scale it in a cost-effective fashion? “It is time to move beyond token maxing into value maxing. To answer these questions with confidence, it requires full visibility into your entire AI stack, and the time to take action is now,” claimed Li. Li wrapped up the morning's keynote, providing an overview of Datadog’s new product positioning. “We're shifting left to take that automation also into your software development loop with this code testing release, so you're shipping code at AI speed,” said Li. “We're also investing in our core platform with new capabilities like federated search, bring your own cloud, and network monitoring, database optimizations, and journey monitoring. AI for Datadog and Datadog for AI. Two flywheels. One platform. And lots of new capabilities.” Datadog isn't just selling observability anymore. The company is delivering on a new brand promise of enabling customers to reach autonomy across development, operations, and security. They're hitting the right note IMO: it's not about the technology, rather what Datadog's AI technology can enable for its valued customers and partners. Yanbing Li liked thisYanbing Li liked thisCuriosity has been one of the most important constants throughout my career, especially during periods of rapid technological change. That idea came up early in my conversation with Grace Gong on Venture with Grace and set the tone for a broader discussion about how we build, lead, and make technology decisions in the AI era. A few principles I always come back to: • Start with the customer problem. AI gives us new ways to build, experiment, and move faster. That speed matters when we’re solving something meaningful. Whether we build, buy, or partner, understanding what customers actually need has to come first. • Context makes AI more useful. We’re thinking about how AI can work with the knowledge people and organizations have already built up over time, while respecting the permissions and controls around that information. Giving AI access to the right context can make its output more relevant and useful to customers. • Experimentation is essential. AI is accelerating how quickly we can prototype, test, and learn. The fundamentals of building great products still apply. Understand the problem, try something, learn from it, and keep improving. As AI becomes more deeply integrated into how people work, trust, governance, and the right controls will be important to scaling it effectively. • Curiosity and communication matter even more during periods of change. Curiosity helps us keep learning and adapting. Communication helps us explain ideas clearly, understand our audience, and bring people along. These are skills I’ve valued throughout my career and ones I continue to work on. Thank you, Grace, for the thoughtful questions and the genuine curiosity and passion you bring to your work. Yanbing Li liked thisYanbing Li liked thisYesterday was one of those days that stays in your memory always. ❤️ We hosted a very special Women’s Event at Datadog Brazil, an initiative I prepare with all my heart because I deeply believe in the importance of creating spaces where women feel safe, seen, heard, and supported. We talked about something simple, yet incredibly powerful: the freedom to be ourselves. To use our voices. To be vulnerable. To make mistakes, learn, grow, and try again. To know that we do not need to become someone else in order to belong. I am still learning so much about this topic. Every conversation, every story, and every woman teaches me something new about belonging, courage, leadership, and the responsibility we have to create space for one another. Over the years, I have been incredibly fortunate to help build and nurture our team in Brazil. Today, we are the region with the highest female representation across Datadog globally, and women represent more than 50% of our leadership team. This is something that fills my heart with so much pride, but also with immense gratitude and humility. Nothing meaningful is ever built alone. This achievement belongs to every woman who trusted this journey, raised her voice, supported another woman, embraced an opportunity, and helped us create this community together. It also belongs to every leader and colleague who believed in the importance of building a more diverse and inclusive team. Yesterday was much more than an event. It was a moment of connection, trust, vulnerability, and belonging. Yanbing Li reacted on thisYanbing Li reacted on thisA belated post: I’ve left Google a little while ago. In the last few weeks, I spent lots and lots of time with my family, and focused on my health. While our family has been going through some difficult times, this time has also been an incredibly rich and reflective time and I’m so grateful that I was able to do it. We made memories together, had epic adventures, and cherished time with each other as much as we could. I’m back now and looking to the future with optimism. I will post more on my next steps later. Reflecting back on my time at Google, the word that comes to mind most is gratitude. I’m really proud of a lot of the work we accomplished together. But most of all, I’m grateful that I got to share in part of this journey with a lot of great colleagues, some of whom have become dear friends. Some of you know that I was a “boomerang” at Google, having left and returned. This is because I still felt really connected to the company, people, and work even after I’d left for the first time. The same is true now that I've left for the second time. Thank you to all of you who have worked with me, supported me, challenged me, made me a better manager and coach, pushed me to deliver things I didn’t think we could deliver, and simply shared the journey with me. I’m cheering you on.
