For years, member engagement with Medicaid consumers has been built on outdated systems and fragmented communication that basically assumes members will find their way on their own, but the reality is they rarely do. Now that eligibility tests are happening more frequently, the cracks in that foundation are becoming impossible to ignore. This moment is about so much more than just hitting compliance metrics or managing a regulatory checklist. It’s a wake-up call to start rethinking how health plans actually show up for the people they serve and building a connection that survives the next administrative hurdle. Ilia Ronin, Handoff is where we've spent a lot of design cycles, because in regulated industries the human is a feature of the journey, so we engineered for it from the start. When a claim needs an adjuster, the agent hands over a complete package: documents gathered, data verified, every interaction logged and auditable. The adjuster starts with a finished file instead of a cold transcript. And the agent stays on the journey, keeping the customer informed while the adjuster decides, then picking the work back up after the decision. The customer never feels the seam.

Thanks Sanjeev. Yes, that's where this is heading. Every completed journey teaches the Agentic platform something: where customers hesitate, where they drop off, what they ask next. The observability exists to feed that learning loop, so the agents improve with every interaction.
And IMO, agents are the only way to truly deliver hyper-personalization. We see a world where fit-for-purpose agents collaborate, arbitrate, and deliver outcomes across the enterprise stack. It's the beginning of the end for the workflow-driven systems of record that have dominated the last 2 decades.

I started as a Scholar fresh off my sophomore year of college, with no idea that one internship opportunity would turn into an 11-year journey. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work across Group Billing, Benefits Enrollment/Sales, and Long Term Disability, alongside amazing leaders, teammates, and most importantly, friends. The work was rewarding, but it’s the people I’ll remember most. I’m incredibly grateful for the memories, friendships, and experiences from the past decade. Unum has been such a significant part of my professional journey, and I’m thankful for everyone who was a part of it. Here’s to what’s next! 🐋

I am deeply honored and humbled to be named one of the recipients of the Distinguished Alumnus Award (2026) from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur. IIT has been an anchor in my life—before I ever set foot on campus, during my time there, throughout my career, and even today. A heartfelt thank you to Asoke Deysarkar, and Arjun Malhotra for nominating me for this honor. My IIT journey actually started long before I ever took the exam. My teachers and classmates at Balmohan Vidyamandir in Mumbai sowed the seeds for the dreaded JEE, and I’m forever indebted to Athalye Sir, who complemented my high school education with a rigorous deep dive into math, science, and English. When I chose IIT Kharagpur, I instantly questioned my decision the moment I landed at Radhakrishnan Hall (RK Hall)! Coming from a sheltered life, it was a culture shock. But within days, that regret turned into excitement. Tucked away two hours from the nearest major city, RK Hall became an incubator for lifelong friendships, social survival skills, and camaraderie. For the first time, I was living alongside people from every corner of India and beyond. In the end, I got far more than just an EE degree. Though I pivoted from power systems to computers early on, the impact of legendary professors like Prof. Kesava Murthy, Prof. Rajagopalan, and Prof. Yash Pal Singh stayed with me. They were a rare blend of brilliance, passion for teaching, and genuine care for their students. Moving on to Iowa State University brought a new pace. If IIT built my fundamentals and social backbone, ISU taught me how to think independently and take calculated risks. Mentors like @Arthur Pohm Art Pohm, Thomas F Piatkowski, and Doug Jacobson made my Ph.D. journey incredibly rewarding and helped shape me into a mature engineer. Of course, no theory survives contact with reality without great partners. A massive shoutout to my brilliant colleagues at IBM and Cisco, and my talented co-founders and teams at Internet Junction (Cisco), Sarvega (Intel), GS Lab (Neurealm), and KPOINT. You challenged me, trusted me, and made me a better engineer, entrepreneur, and person. Finally, to my family—who backed me at every single turn—this award belongs to you as much as it does to me.
