Attacks can begin propagating across the world within hours. But organizations need an average of 20 days to test and deploy that same patch. The act of fixing a vulnerability now accelerates its exploitation. The defense creates the offense. And the offense arrives weeks before the defense can finish deploying.”

Recently, we were pitching to a team and I made what I thought was a simple, straightforward statement: “I'm not aware of any (other) security product that can tell you whether all your safeguards were configured correctly — not just today, but historically.” Their CISO immediately said: “Have you ever heard of Wiz?” Fair question, albeit snarkier than my polite midwest sensibilities would have preferred. Wiz is a great product. It gives real-time visibility into cloud misconfigurations. It tells you what’s exposed. It helps you fix things fast. But that wasn’t the point. He hadn't grasped one of the key differentiators between Spektrum Resilience and...well, everything else. Most security tools answer one question really well: What’s wrong right now? Boards, insurers, and regulators are starting to ask a different one: Can you prove your controls were correctly configured at the exact moment the breach happened? And since we don't know about breaches until after they have occurred [n.b. unfortunately often WAY after they have occurred], this is a problematic concept for our industry. They aren't asking for a screenshot. They aren't asking for quarterly scan results. They aren't asking for attestations. They don't want "strong indications" from reconstituted log data. They want proof. There’s a big difference between operational security and proving resilience. The industry optimized for detection and response. It didn’t build a system of record for historical, third-party-verifiable assurance. Wiz isn’t the issue. It’s best-in-class at what it was designed to do. It's an excellent tool for SecOps teams. But it does not give you cryptographically provable, historical assurance that: A control was correctly configured at a specific point in time, AND it remained correctly configured continuously, AND it was in place at the moment an incident occurred, AND that proof can be shared externally (insurers, auditors, regulators) without exposing configs. There’s a big difference between “we could see it was configured” and “we can prove it was configured.” Spektrum Resilience is the Proof Engine for cybersecurity.
