We will continue to advance the integration and testing of our joint solution, leveraging the V.A.S. ecosystem as we move toward fully driverless operations. The future of physical AI has never been more exciting.Lior Ron shared thisWhen humans get behind the wheel of a different vehicle, we don't have to relearn how to drive. The same should be true for AI. For years, transferring an autonomous driving system to a new vehicle platform has meant collecting new data, retraining models, and many months of engineering. It’s a persistent bottleneck that has slowed the industry’s ability to scale this technology in a sustainable and economically viable way. At Waabi, we built the Waabi Driver from day one as a single AI brain capable of true embodiment generalization and able to automatically adapt to completely different vehicles and environments, just like humans do. Now we've proven this is possible! Partnering with Volvo Autonomous Solutions, we integrated the Waabi Driver onto the Volvo VNL Autonomous— a completely new vehicle platform for the Waabi Driver with different sensors, controls, and physical characteristics. With zero training data—real or simulated—and without any fine-tuning, the Volvo VNL Autonomous, powered by the Waabi Driver, was fully performant from the very first autonomous mile, operating safely across both highways and complex general surface streets. For autonomous trucking, this changes what it takes to scale. Instead of retraining a virtual driver for every new platform, the same intelligence can transfer across vehicles with no ramp up time required. This capability also marks a step change in Physical AI and will be the foundation for a new generation of intelligent machines that can adapt, scale, and operate across the physical world, creating possibilities and opportunities we can scarcely imagine today. In that time I got married, moved, welcomed two kiddos, built teams I’m deeply proud of, and signed a few deals along the way. From autonomous trucking and the early days of Uber Freight, to NYC taxis and EVs, and most recently helping build Uber’s autonomous future across robotaxis, delivery robots, drones, and air taxis. Thank you to the many, many colleagues, friends, and partners who made it all possible. Especially those willing to take a chance on an early idea and see where it could go. Uber is an incredibly special place. I couldn’t be more proud to have been a part of it, or more excited about what comes next for the team. It has been a privilege ❤️
