I had a visa to enter the U.S. I had an incredible career opportunity. And for a moment, it looked like neither would matter. Today, thousands of Iranian students already in the U.S. are facing similar uncertainty. Their legal status is unclear, even as they study, build, and contribute here.Many are in STEM fields. Many are working toward building the next generation of companies. Right now, they are in limbo. If you want to support them, there is an active petition calling for protections: https://lnkd.in/dWdpRFkh Experiences like explain something deeper about immigration, and about immigrants. It shows why immigrants, who go through so much, end up playing such an outsized role in building our economy and driving innovation. I wrote more about that connection and my own experience.

This is an incredible opportunity to lead marketing, sales, and business development in a team focused on applying cutting edge technology to truly improve the day-to-day lives of frontline caregivers. Moxi The Robot has performed over 1.3M deliveries in hospitals; carrying medications, labs, and supplies so the care team can stay focused on patients. We're seeing multiple factors combine to make the mission of Diligent even more relevant... robotics is advancing at an unprecedented rate AND healthcare is grappling (even more than usual) with how to do more with less. Moreover, Moxi is delivering JOY to nurses and patients alike. Now that we've joined forces with the incredible Serve Robotics, the sky is the limit. Both teams have done the very hard work of deploying robots into the real world and are progressing day after day. I'd be remiss if I didn't thank Andrea L. Thomaz and Vivian Chu for letting me jump in as a steward of the vision, as well as Todd Brugger, Connor Frischmeyer, Ryan Magnes, and Jill Canada for the trust, collaboration, and fun along the way.

Cosimo Leipold liked thisCosimo Leipold liked thisIt's a wrap. After a long and rewarding career at the GSB/Booth, I've decided to retire later this month. What an adventure it has been. I've had the privilege of meeting incredible people from around the world, traveling to countless countries, and helping so many individuals pursue their dream of earning an MBA at Chicago Booth. Looking back, I realize how fortunate I've been. Reading thousands of applications, presenting Booth to prospective students across the globe, and having meaningful conversations with people who shared their aspirations and life stories with me has been an unforgettable experience. Along the way, I've worked with many talented colleagues, been part of different teams, experienced a variety of leadership styles, and learned more about higher education than I ever imagined. Sometimes I think I could write a screenplay—or maybe even start a consulting business. Hmm...now there's an idea! As for retirement, I don't have any grand plans just yet. I'm looking forward to sleeping in, traveling on my own schedule, saying goodbye to shirts and ties, and no longer having those difficult conversations with applicants who weren't admitted. To the many alumni, students, colleagues, and friends I've met over the years: thank you. Watching so many of you go on to accomplish remarkable things across countless industries has been one of the most rewarding parts of my career. I feel incredibly fortunate to have been a small part of your journey, and I am proud to have known you. Thank you all for making this chapter of my life so memorable. Building the future of autonomous logistics taught me that the hardest problems aren't just technical—they are deeply human, operational, and systemic. True predictability relies on seamless orchestration and service design across every single touchpoint: how a merchant manages an automated digital marketplace, how a QSR kitchen integrates automated dispatch without breaking their physical line, and ultimately, how a customer feels when using your platform, to receiving a delivery overhead, to the ease (and experience) of opening a package. As I launch my consulting practice, I’m partnering with forward-thinking leaders across QSR, Retail/CPG, Healthcare, Transportation and Supply Chain to take the guesswork out of autonomous logistics, end-to-end e-commerce ecosystems, and next-gen service design. To kick things off, I'll be mapping out my capacity for Q3/Q4 and catching up with a few trusted colleagues to get a pulse on where the most critical needs are for short-term impact and long-term scalability. I was honored to join the mainstage at ACT Expo / ACT News yesterday for "The Virtual Driver Revolutionizing Trucking and Logistics." Thank you to Olivia Hu for moderating and to Ossa (Fredricsson) Fisher, Don Burnette, David Liu, and Peter Vaughan Schmidt for the dynamic discussion on deploying autonomous trucks. It was especially meaningful to have the Volvo Group's VNL Autonomous powered by the Waabi Driver featured on the mainstage alongside us, a testament of the real-world progress we're making with our partners at Volvo Autonomous Solutions, bringing this technology to commercial routes at scale. Exciting times ahead!
