Bronx Council Member Amanda Farías shared the positive impact of Zipcar in her district with Streetsblog NYC, "The U.S. Department of Transportation has a partnership with Zipcar, and I have some locations in my district…  Those are families that are now not purchasing cars because they have this [Zipcar] when they need to make their weekend appointment or drive to their mother's house. Recently, we got together with SparkCharge and Massachusetts Clean Energy Center to launch the first off‑grid EV charging hub for shared mobility in Massachusetts. This project is a breakthrough in delivering scalable, equitable EV infrastructure without the constraints of the traditional grid and allows us to dispatch charged Zipcar EVs to communities across Greater Boston for our members and rideshare drivers. Shout out to Joshua Aviv, Founder of SparkCharge and Leslie Nash, Senior Director of Technology to Market Programs at MassCEC who gave remarks alongside our very own head of Zipcar, Angelo Adams, before cutting the green ribbon! We can't wait to charge forward together!
