Outside of cross-border payments, why would a US consumer want stablecoins? According to Gusto, the answer is generational. Digital natives grew up sending photos and data instantly. They expect money to behave the same way: moving 24/7, not just Monday to Friday, at low cost, in a form that swaps easily into other assets. It's the difference between the brand of soap your parents bought and the one the next generation reaches for. Same job, different expectation of the product. That shift is already underway, and it reframes the whole conversation. The cross-border case for stablecoins is well understood. The domestic one, that instant, always-on money is becoming the baseline people simply expect, is the part still catching up.

NEWS: Miracle Pay has tapped zerohash to enable seamless stablecoin payments for U.S. merchants nationwide. Bringing stablecoins to the point of sale is the latest signal that onchain money is quietly merging into everyday commerce, giving buyers and businesses instant payments without needing to think about which rails money is moving on. In this partnership, Miracle Pay handles the familiar checkout experience, while zerohash manages the regulated backend, handling liquidity, safety, compliance, and settlement behind the scenes. Together, we're giving merchants a faster, more flexible way to accept payments. This announcement follows our recent partnership with Marqeta to power stablecoin cards, further expanding how people pay onchain. Read the full release in the comments.

NEWS from SALT: zerohash just expanded its onchain money stack to support FRNT, Wyoming's Frontier Stable Token, the first fiat-backed, fully-reserved stable token issued by a U.S. state. FRNT is issued by the Wyoming Stable Token Commission and fully backed by U.S. dollars, short-duration U.S. Treasuries, and repurchase agreements held in trust, with reserves managed by Franklin Advisers. Interest generated supports the State of Wyoming's School Foundation Program. zerohash is also completing onboarding to become a Licensed Service Provider, and once approved, will mint and redeem FRNT directly with the State of Wyoming while providing primary liquidity to its partner network. Today, zerohash links 100+ assets across 35+ chains through one integration, with FRNT as the newest addition. We continue to extend our interoperability stack across more chains, assets and instruments.

Always a treat to swing down to the NYSE and visit my pals at SiliconANGLE & theCUBE. Gemma Allen and I had a great chat about how digital asset marketing has evolved, where zerohash began in 2017, and what the team is focused on today. Some highlights here, with the full episode linked in the comments. Thanks as always to Brian J. Baumann and everyone over there who makes these conversations possible 🙏

The two-week pay cycle is a financing arrangement most workers never agreed to. Our Founder & CEO Edward Woodford joined Jason Mikula on Fintech Business Weekly to discuss the future of money movement. When you complete work today and are paid in two weeks, you are extending your employer credit, interest-free, whether or not you can afford to. It is the same gap the payday lending industry was built to fill. The reason payroll settles on a cycle rather than on completion has never been the work itself. It has been the cost and speed of moving money. Remove those two constraints and the model is free to change: a worker paid on completion rather than on a calendar, and, as Edward noted, money that moves sooner can circulate faster through the economy. One rail makes this practical at scale: low-cost, instant, global settlement. Onchain money is one mechanism for delivering it, not the only one, but a proven one. The question for anyone building payments infrastructure is straightforward: what does your product enable once the two-week float is no longer a fixed cost of doing business?

Stablecoins and tokenized money market funds are starting to work as two sides of the same experience. Our Chief Business Officer Mark Daly spoke on the Stabledash live stream about where this is heading: zerohash provides the payment rails that let people move into and out of tokenized money market funds, with stablecoins as one leg of the transaction. That convergence is where zerohash is spending more and more of its product development time.

zerohash started on the belief that crypto could apply across other assets, dollars in particular. The growth of stablecoins is that belief playing out, and the institutions now building on it show the scale of it: large banks, brokerage platforms, and prediction markets. Our Founder & CEO Edward Woodford joined The Rollup to discuss where this goes next. The names moving onto this infrastructure are the ones that define the category. BlackRock's BUIDL, the largest tokenized money market fund, runs on rails zerohash supports. Morgan Stanley brought crypto trading to E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley clients powered by zerohash. When institutions of that size commit, it is a signal about where the technology is heading.

Ask most people if they have a stablecoin wallet and they will say no. Ask the same people if they use Robinhood, E*TRADE from Morgan Stanley, or Interactive Brokers, and the hands go up. Our Founder & CEO Edward Woodford made this point in a recent conversation on The CEO Series with William Salvi. These platforms now let people use stablecoins to fund an account or move money, which means the wallet is already in the hands of the customer. By our projection, roughly 2.5 billion accounts globally now have access to a stablecoin. That distribution is what has changed over the last two years. The pattern follows how most technology gets adopted: build the network first, then build usability on top of it. With the accounts now in place, the usability layer is what comes next, and it is why accessing this technology keeps getting easier.
