  • TCOE's Leadership Support Services (LSS) is pleased to welcome Dr. Jesse Sanchez to the department! Jesse will help support charter schools and the LCAP development and approval process. LSS works with Tulare County district leaders to successfully navigate the world of state and federal requirements as they push their schools forward in a cycle of continuous improvement. A native of the Central Valley, Jesse brings nearly 30 years of educational experience to his new role. He previously served Dinuba Unified School District for over a decade as an elementary and middle school principal, and most recently, a district administrator. He also served the Lindsay Unified and Visalia Unified districts. Read more about him at tcoe.org/NewsGallery. Welcome, Jesse!

  • George Rodriguez, Ed.D. has been selected as administrator of TCOE’s New Teacher & Leadership Development (NTLD) program. NTLD is an alternative certification program authorized by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing to provide coursework necessary to complete a variety of teaching and administrative credentials. In the coming months, NTLD will advertise a way for teachers to add a Single Subject Teaching Credential to an existing Multiple or Single Subject Credential, in just a few short steps. Adding a new credential could help school districts with increasing course offerings, solve master scheduling issues, and could help teachers achieve the dream of teaching something new. For more information about the new NTLD IMPACT offering, contact program manager Courtney Kirchman at courtney.kirchman@tcoe.org. Congratulations, George! tcoe.org/NTLD
