As kids go back to school, remember their annual well-child check! ✅ These visits do more than monitor growth; they help children meet developmental milestones, stay up to date on vaccines, stay healthy, and get support to thrive. Early screenings for vision, hearing, anxiety, depression, and other concerns can significantly impact a child’s success and well-being. Congratulations to MacNeal Hospital's The DAISY Foundation leader award winner, Elizabeth Marr, RN. As a clinical nurse leader, Elizabeth is known for building trust and fostering an environment that encourages teams to connect and share their ideas. The colleague who recognized her said, "Liz leads by example; she doesn't just say what needs to be different or changed. She identifies where there is room for improvement and makes a plan to execute that change. She recognizes people's individual strengths and what makes them unique and uses this to help staff realize how they can continue to grow and excel in their roles. She helps ensure the success of staff by consistently providing resources, education and professional development opportunities." Congratulate Elizabeth in the comments below! • Trinity Health is going beyond hospital walls to improve the health and well-being of the communities we serve.

This year's Connecticut Adaptive Rowing Program brought together veterans, military service members, volunteers, and therapists for another season of recreation, connection, and adventure on the Connecticut River. With support from Mount Sinai Rehabilitation Hospital therapists, participants receive individualized adaptations that help maximize independence and make time on the water accessible and enjoyable. In partnership with Riverfront Recapture, the program continues to create opportunities that promote wellbeing beyond the clinical setting. We still have two more Saturdays on the river in September! Classes are free of charge but registration is required. For more information please contact Paige McCullough-Casciano at 860-714-2421 or email PMccullo@TrinityHealthOfNE.org Learn more about the comprehensive rehabilitation services at https://lnkd.in/eSpGub8w

  • Congratulations, Kimberly!

Congratulations to our August DAISY Award winner, Kimberly R., RN, Labor and Delivery! 🌼💛 Kimberly was nominated by a patient who experienced a long and difficult labor and remembers Kimberly as a steady source of encouragement, comfort and support throughout the journey. Along with providing exceptional clinical care, Kimberly took time to offer reassurance, help her patient feel safe and advocate for her when she needed it most. “She gave me strength when I felt like giving up. She believed in me when I wasn’t sure my body could do it, and her confidence gave me hope,” her patient shared. For Kimberly, it was one patient and one birth. For this family, her compassion became part of a story they’ll remember forever. We’re so proud to celebrate Kimberly and the heart she brings to our Labor and Delivery team. Congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!

In Grand Haven, Michigan, caring for one another is simply what neighbors do. 💐 Thanks to the generosity of the floral community and our dedicated volunteers, our Trinity Health At Home – Grand Haven agency has been delivering vibrant flower bouquets to people in our hospice and palliative care programs all summer long. This small but meaningful gesture is often met with bright smiles and tears of gratitude from the families we serve. Recently featured in the news by WOOD TV8 in Grand Rapids, this story is a beautiful reminder of the power of community and the difference a simple act of kindness can make.
