Traylor Driven is about more than the work we build. It is about how we show up for the work, for each other, and for the teams around us. We asked Karim Makhaly, Project Engineer on the RiverRenew Tunnel System project, which core attribute resonates with him most: Respect for the Individual, Pride in What We Do, or Connection Like Family. Check out the video to hear his response. #TraylorDriven #RiverRenew #HeavyCivil #Construction #Engineering #ProjectEngineer #CareersInConstruction

Another major milestone is taking shape at the Dr. Richard A. Tapia Bridge over the Houston Ship Channel. The team recently flew the last of 144 pre-tied rebar cages into place. With this milestone complete, the remaining reinforcing steel for the final few lifts will be tied in place as the structure continues to rise. The twin cable-stayed bridges will replace the existing crossing while helping pave the way for future widening and deepening of the channel to accommodate larger vessels, supporting the continued growth of Harris County’s shipping industry. Take a look at the impressive progress being made by the team. #TraylorDriven Harris County Toll Road Authority Zachry Construction Corporation Photo Credit: Jacobs

We’re proud to see the Juneau Creek Bridge launch featured by Engineering News-Record. Moving six million pounds of steel across the Juneau Creek canyon in Alaska was a complex undertaking that demanded precision at every stage. Congratulations to the team and our partners for successfully completing this impressive operation. Read ENR’s feature below for a closer look at how it all came together. #TraylorDriven
For seven days last June, engineers and construction crews held their breath as six million pounds of steel inched across an Alaska canyon. Using custom 400-ton hydraulic rollers and rams, the Traylor Bros. team pushed the fully assembled superstructure across the Juneau Creek canyon while holding girder alignment within a 1-in. tolerance. The successful launch had been years in the making and the challenges were steep. Environmental restrictions barred construction in the canyon. The remote site complicated access. Wind, alignment and enormous structural loads left little margin for error. ➡️Read the story in the latest issue of ENR West available here: https://lnkd.in/ebDR8VBy 📷 Courtesy Traylor Bros., Inc.

Greater than 46 monoliths are in progress, and the lock floor construction teams have placed in excess of 60,000 cy of concrete this year. The 600-person project team recently gathered to recognize and celebrate the great accomplishments so far this season.
