  • A month ago we hosted over 100 home service pros in Brooklyn for our first AI Day, and our biggest event at Topline Pro to date. We had small business owners come in from more than 20 states. A lot of people who’d never been in a room with others who actually get what it takes to build in the trades. The energy was high. We laughed, listened, cheered and made connections with one another. It was a day to give back to our community - through educational talks, product trainings, and just good fun. Time away from the job site is precious, and we wanted to show up for our pros with a day that felt valuable. What stuck was how it felt to be in that room together. People who usually spend the day in a truck, finally getting a day to step back and talk about their business. It was special to play a part in building the environment for that to happen, and was amazing to see pros in the industry truly show up. Thank you to everyone who attended and to Logan Sendle, Adam Chapman, and Tigran Gertz for being part of it!

  • Check out our co-founder, Shannon Kay, on the latest episode of Code & Cobblestones!

Code & Cobblestones, Ep. 7 features Shannon Kay, Co-Founder & CEO at Topline Pro... In 2025, Shannon and her team raised a $27M Series B to create the growth engine for small businesses. But it took them time to get there! Will Lehmann & I learned in this convo how Topline Pro began servicing homeowners before realizing that SMBs were a larger opportunity. Talking to customers and all of the constituents around the value chain let them to the realization small businesses really needed their help. In this convo, you'll learn... -Why Shannon & her team are building Topline Pro's Sidekick around "get work, win work, get paid" instead of the usual SaaS feature list -How a COVID-era side project called Dwelling turned into Topline Pro, a pivot to a bigger opportunity -Why she'd rather a customer never open the app at all, and what "done for you" means when your users are on a ladder, not at a desk -The real risk with AI inside a company, per Shannon: rewarding the wrong behavior, and how Topline Pro's "AI-native employee of the month" tries to fix that -Her advice for founders building in "unsexy" markets: find the investors who already get it before you ever pitch them -Why incrementalism earns trust with some customers, and showing the whole platform earns it faster with others Full episode is linked below. Give it a watch and tell us what you think! And thanks to Justin Obey at Obey Creative for his partnership in producing the episode

  • We've got some exciting news! Topline Pro has been named one of America's Greatest Startup Workplaces 2026 by Newsweek. Each year Newsweek partners with Plant-A Insights Group to do a data study on start ups and shortlist the greatest based on the data they collect and score. This year they looked at 26k startups with 50+ employees, founded 2020 or later. We were selected as one of the 250 who made the list! We're grateful for the recognition! Couldn't have been possible without all members of our team here and the hard work going in to building Topline Pro.

  • You may have noticed Topline Pro has a new look. We've been excited to bring our new branding to life, and wanted to share a bit more on the meaning behind our new identity. For years, our product worked quietly behind the scenes, helping pros get found online. This year we brought Sidekick to life, an true teammate that works alongside pros while they're on roofs and under sinks: answering calls, quoting, even collecting payment. As our product grew to support pros in all areas of their business, our brand needed to catch up to reflect that. Our mission has always been the same: to back local service pros in every corner of their business so their hard work goes further. Our new brand reflects that in the details: from a mark built on the idea of backing someone up, to materials and photography pulled straight from the job site, to Sidekick's own identity, built as an extension of the team. Every piece points to what we're bringing to the trades - intelligence that unleashes a pro's ambition, not another piece of tech to learn. Read the full story 👇 https://lnkd.in/gJWvVWHE Thank you to everyone on the team who worked on crafting a brand for Topline Pro that matches where we're heading. Shoutout to our design, product, engineering and marketing team, and a special recognition to Bhargavi Kamakshivalli, our VP of Design, for leading our rebrand.

  • We're marking a new chapter for local service pros. Today, we're launching the new Topline Pro app, designed to empower every home service business with their own Sidekick. It works for pros and with pros - all the way from job request to payment. We’ve already helped generate $1B+ in work for service pros. Now, we’re building toward the next $10B (and beyond) for the independent businesses powering their communities one job at a time. This is AI built for the trades. This is Topline Pro. It's time to make a change, and give pros the tools they deserve. More from our CEO, Nick Ornitz, on what this moment means below.

Today marks the next chapter for the independently owned and operated businesses building the American Dream, one job at a time. Topline Pro is the AI for local service pros. We’ve have officially launched our new app, giving pros their very own Sidekick. Sidekick isn't another tool a pro has to learn and operate. It works for and with them, from job request to payment. Our new website and rebrand brings this vision to life, and shows what’s possible when powerful AI is built specifically for the trades. Right now, most “AI for the trades” headlines focus on the same 200,000 PE-backed rollup shops. We’re building for the other 2.4 million: the independent owner-operators that technology has struggled to serve for far too long. Topline Pro has already helped generate $1B+ in work for service pros. This new app is how we unlock the next $10B and beyond. Extremely proud of the team that has pulled this off and the thousands of home service pros that trust their livelihood with Topline Pro.

Progress doesn't happen by accident. It's the result of a team that shows up, puts in the work, and keeps pushing forward. Last week, we took a moment to celebrate, and there's no better place to do it than with the New York City skyline in the background. Proud of what this team has built. And we're just getting started. 🚀

  • Six years. Our team is grateful for the journey, and even more excited about what's ahead. Every job booked, every crew kept busy, every owner who got a little more time back. Making an impact on small service businesses keeps us motivated. This milestone belongs to our customers. Read our Co Founder and CEO, Nick Ornitz's note below:

Yesterday marked six years since we first incorporated what became Topline Pro. Making this milestone even more memorable, in the preceding 30 days alone, we grew more than we did in our entire first 3 years combined. But what matters most is what that growth represents. Most of our customers don't have a marketing team. They don't have a sales team. They don't have investors backing them. They're answering calls from job sites, quoting from their truck, and trying to grow a business with a million things pulling their attention at once. Adding to all of this, they are dependent on their businesses success for their livelihood. This growth means more of them are booking jobs they wouldn't have gotten otherwise. Crews staying busy. Owners getting a little more time with their families. All made possible by building for the long tail businesses that are often forgotten by tech. Six years in, that mission has never felt more urgent or more possible. Grateful for our team and customers making it happen.
