On the anniversary of Hurricane Laura, we're honored to share this powerful video from Jeff Davis Electric Cooperative (JDEC), reflecting on their journey from Hurricane Rita in 2005 through Hurricanes Laura and Delta in 2020. Behind every restored power line, every rebuilt facility, and every milestone in recovery are the people who never stopped showing up for their members and their communities. Throughout multiple disasters, JDEC has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to serving others. They’ve made countless sacrifices, worked long hours under incredibly difficult conditions, and remained focused on one mission: restoring service and helping their communities recover. That level of dedication deserves to be recognized. It has been a privilege for Royal to serve alongside JDEC as their disaster response and recovery grants and program management partner. Over the years, we’ve had a front-row seat to the resilience, integrity, and determination that define this organization. We hold tremendous respect and appreciation for the Board of Directors and employees of JDEC and all they have accomplished. We invite you to watch their story and reflect on the strength it takes to recover, not just from one storm, but from years of challenges. Construction is complete on the Jourdan Road Wharf Terminal Project for the Port of New Orleans, where #TeamRoyal provided CE&I services alongside @bohbrosconstructioncollc, the project’s CMAR. ⚓ Royal’s Construction Management team led project oversight and daily inspections throughout the project. Repairs included restoring all salvageable sections and replacing areas that could not be repaired. Corroded hollow steel piles were rehabilitated using innovative repair methods, while deteriorated sections were demolished and rebuilt with new steel piles and a reinforced concrete deck. The rehabilitated wharf is now back in service and supporting ongoing port operations. #ConstructionManagement #PortInfrastructure #Engineering

🏗️ Royal’s Architectural Team designed an IdeaLease facility in New Orleans that includes a 5-bay repair shop sized for 10 commercial vehicles, compressed air systems, fluid reels, welding plugs, HVLS fans, fire suppression and alarm systems, a vehicle wash bay, locker rooms, breakrooms, and parts storage. Housed within a pre-engineered metal building, the design was coordinated with the client and PEMB manufacturer to optimize efficiency, cost, budget, and schedule. #TeamRoyal #Architecture #ProjectDesign
