“It’s hard to see every inch of those fields, so we’ve adopted technology to help us do this. Because frankly, it’s more efficient and allows us to see more than a human can in a lot less time. We use Taranis,” said Nate Eitzmann, Agronomist with Asmus Farm Supply, during a recent CropLife webinar. “They can fly a field and give us images of every inch of that field, identify insects and diseases, count our plants and weeds, and provide actionable information that we can use in-season.” Nate also highlighted how collecting data year after year allows them to identify patterns in specific areas of their fields. Stand count percentages don't always tell the full story when it comes to population variation across a field. By combining stand count maps with leaf-level imagery, agronomists and growers can use the Layers view within the Taranis platform to better understand population variability and identify distinct population ranges within a field. In this quick walkthrough, Jeff Dickens, Regional Account Manager at Taranis, shares how these insights can help farmers make data-driven decisions when determining whether replanting or spot planting is necessary.

Does a corn field's yield estimate always go down during the season, or can it recover? 🌽 It's one of the most common questions we hear about Taranis Yield Impact™. By combining leaf-level insights with the industry-standard DSSAT crop growth model, Taranis Yield Impact™ estimates potential yield loss and economic risk from threats such as weeds, disease, insects, and nutrient deficiencies. The answer depends on several factors. Yield impact results depend on when a threat occurred, how severe it became, and how the crop responds throughout the season. Our FAQ article explains how Taranis Yield Impact™: ✅ Calculates yield risk ✅ Updates throughout the season ✅ Accounts for treatments and multiple threats ✅ Supports more informed in-season decisions 📖 Read more: https://hubs.li/Q04jXVqr0 #PrecisionAg #Agronomy #AgTech #Taranis #YieldImpact

Two fields can produce similar yields while showing very different levels of variability across plants.🌽 That’s where understanding the Coefficient of Variation (CV) becomes valuable. CV helps quantify consistency within a field and can reveal hidden performance risks that may impact profitability. With Taranis’ Ag Assistant™, agronomists and growers may see recommendations that reference high CV values. This article explains what those values mean, why they can signal field-level concerns, and how CV can help guide more informed management decisions. Learn how CV can help evaluate corn performance and uncover opportunities for better field management: https://hubs.li/Q04jvvr-0 #Agriculture #Agronomy #PrecisionAg #AgTech #AgAssistant
