For years, the safest bet in compliance was to specialize, to know one rulebook better than anyone. That bet is changing. On the newest episode of Beyond the Fine Print, our podcast on the human side of compliance and risk, Remy Rosen sits down with Hillary Rosenberg, a leader who's gone from prosecuting financial crimes at the Manhattan DA's office to running enterprise compliance at Standard Chartered, BNY Mellon, and Valley Bank. Her take: as AI absorbs the routine work like due diligence, screening, and alert reviews, the edge moves to what only people bring, which is judgment and a human read on a hard call. The professionals who rise from here won't be the narrowest experts. They'll be the generalists who can work through the gray. Give it a listen if this is on your mind. Sedric was proud to sponsor the 17th Annual Cross River Classic to benefit a great cause. From the pickleball courts to championship reception, we met with old friends and new to chat about fintech and banking compliance. It was wonderful meeting up with the American Fintech Council team. Big news: we've joined the American Fintech Council. Financial services is moving from the human era to the AI era — and GRC has to move with it. When content, conversations, and customer touchpoints are being produced at agent speed, sampling a small share after the fact is not a control. It's a formality. That's why Sedric isn't another compliance application. Sedric is agents infrastructure. At AI speed, policies have to be codified, not filed. Controls have to run in real time, not review cycles. And organizations need a foundation that lets different agentic workflows layer on top and execute end to end — with the policy layer already alive underneath them. That's what we mean when we say Sedric is bringing GRC to life. The AFC is where fintechs and banks are working out what responsible looks like in this new era — the standards, the policy work, the partnership frameworks the rest of the market will end up adopting. We're proud to bring our infrastructure to that table. Thanks to Phil Goldfeder and the AFC team for the welcome. Read the full announcement: https://lnkd.in/ejmsVKSU

Accountability doesn’t scale itself. AFC is proud to welcome Sedric to the family as our newest member!! Phil Goldfeder was already on the ground talking strategy with Nir Laznik at their #NewYork office! An Agentic AI platform, Sedric turns regulatory requirements into real-time, automated controls for financial services teams, monitoring marketing, communications, and partner content at scale so fintechs and banks can stay compliant across every customer touchpoint. “Financial products are increasingly distributed through partners, affiliates, and embedded channels, but accountability still sits with the licensed institution,” said Nir. “That gap is where consumer harm and enforcement risk actually live — and it's widening as AI collapses the cost of producing content and conversations at scale. Reviewing a small sample after the fact was never designed for this. AFC is where banks and fintechs are working out what responsible partnership looks like in practice, and we want Sedric's role in that to be building the controls that make it provable.” Welcome to AFC, Sedric. Excited to see the impact ahead. #AmericanFintechCouncil #Fintech #Compliance #AI #NewMember

On the latest Beyond the Fine Print, Zachary Plotkin, L.I.O.N., Managing Partner at Madison-Davis, LLC, named the thing that quietly holds back a lot of talented compliance people: not skills, not credentials... Networking. There's an old belief that if you put your head down and work hard enough, the recognition eventually catches up. Zach's take: that used to hold up better than it does today. The work still counts. But if nobody beyond your immediate team knows what you can do, you're making the climb harder than it needs to be. His advice is refreshingly simple — actually talk to your peers. Inside your own institution and across the industry. That's how you learn what's really happening, and where you might go next. "It's not about saying no. It's figuring out the right way to say yes." Generalist or specialist? In compliance, AI is shifting the answer. Sedric's Remy Rosen sat down with Zachary Plotkin, L.I.O.N. of Madison-Davis, LLC. He stresses: when you can look up the small details in seconds, deep specialization matters less than range — especially at earlier-stage companies. This one's been a long time coming, and I couldn't be prouder to finally share it: WebBank has been running on Sedric for a while now, and already seeing massive value. WebBank is "The Bank Behind the Brand®," a fintech-forward pioneer that's funded over $283B in credit products. It's now using Sedric to review and approve partner marketing at scale, without compromising the standards regulators expect. I'll let Aaron Blankenstein, their Chief Compliance Officer, put it better than I can: "At WebBank, we prioritize innovation and compliance in equal measure. Our partnership with Sedric enables us to streamline the review and approval of marketing content, enhancing our agility while maintaining the highest compliance standards." That's exactly the balance we set out to build: compliance and innovation as partners, not trade-offs. To Aaron and the entire WebBank team, thank you for your partnership. Glad to finally say it out loud. Read the full post: https://lnkd.in/e9W-7JP5
