More flights coming for the Palau Paradise Express ✈️🏝️🇵🇼 We are doubling direct services between Brisbane and Koror, Palau, to two return flights a week over the peak season, after signing a new agreement with the Federal Government. From December 2026, the Palau Paradise Express will operate twice weekly for the first time, giving travellers the option of a four-day trip to the incredible Pacific island nation. A lie-flat bed on a Qantas single-aisle aircraft is coming.    Our new Business Suites for the Airbus A321XLR have been designed to transform longer journeys, with comfort, privacy and flexibility at the centre of the experience. Rolling out across 16 new A321XLR aircraft from 2028, every Suite will feature a lie-flat bed, direct aisle access, and a sliding privacy door.   We've also unveiled an evolved Business Suite for future Boeing 787-9 Dreamliners, bringing even more comfort and privacy to long-haul travel.    Another exciting step in the largest fleet renewal program in Qantas history ✈️ 

Today we announced our FY26 results, supported by the arrival of 17 new aircraft, 23 new routes across Qantas and Jetstar Airways, and a record five million reward seats booked.     All thanks to the hard work of our incredible team and in a year that tested the aviation industry globally.   Customer satisfaction reached its highest levels in a decade and, in June, Qantas was the most on-time airline in the world.   Our first Project Sunrise A350-1000ULR arrives in April as we get one step closer to our non-stop Sydney to London flights beginning in October 2027 ✈️ 

The iconic Boeing 747 has a new friend in Wollongong ✈️🏠   Today we were excited to be at the Historical Aircraft Restoration Society (HARS) Museum in Albion Park for the arrival of its newest display - a QantasLink Fokker 100.    This t-tail jet now begins a new life as a tourist attraction here in the Illawarra, arriving from Perth via a stop in Kalgoorlie after more than 7,500 flights for QantasLink, travelling more than nine million kilometres in that time.    Our Fokker 100 fleet are gradually being retired over the coming years as we bring in more modern Embraer E190 aircraft to improve reliability, fuel efficiency, and customer comfort. The first E190 is expected to arrive in Perth next month.   This aircraft, VH-NPU, joins VH-NHO as the second F100 to be donated to HARS, with the latter arriving at their Parkes museum earlier this year.   NPU, named ‘Meekatharra’, will sit alongside Qantas’ first Boeing 747-400, VH-OJA that was donated by Qantas in 2015. 'City of Canberra' arrived at HARS following 26 years of service and is one of the museum's most visited attractions.   A big congratulations to all of our people involved in the aircraft’s last flight, and ensuring it has a second life at the museum for years to come.

The Project Sunrise Airbus A350-1000ULR has touched down in Toulouse, France after completing a 24 hour 24 minute non-stop flight from Melbourne, Australia. The aircraft flew northeast over the Pacific, over the US and Canada, then across the Atlantic and south over the UK to Toulouse, crossing three continents and two oceans, with two sunsets and two sunrises along the way.

All smiles after touchdown in Melbourne ✈️ Qantas Chief Pilot Dick Tobiano and Qantas Fleet Safety Captain Debbie Slade were on hand to welcome the Airbus pilots & engineers into Melbourne after their 19 hour and 12 minute journey from Toulouse, France on the Project Sunrise A350-1000ULR test aircraft.

Our Project Sunrise Airbus A350-1000ULR has touched down in Australia for the first time.   This journey is part of its two-month flight testing campaign, with the aircraft flying directly from Toulouse to Melbourne in 19 hours and 12 minutes.

Aviation history has been made ✅ Our Airbus A321 VH-XF5 has become the first freighter aircraft to land at Western Sydney International Airport (WSI), marking a major milestone ahead of the start of regular freight operations later this month. From 27 July, Qantas Freight will begin operating regular domestic freight services at WSI, with the brand new airport expected to handle more than 850 tonnes of freight each week. As Australia’s leading air freight carrier, we’re proud to support the movement of everything from fresh produce to critical supplies through our new 24,000-square-metre freight terminal, helping keep businesses and communities connected across the country. A massive thank you to all of our hard-working freight, operations, and airport teams for making this moment possible.

This week we celebrated the winners of the Qantas Group NAIDOC Awards, recognising employees and allies whose commitment, leadership and advocacy are helping drive reconciliation. Aligned with NAIDOC Week 2026 and this year’s theme '50 Years of Deadly', the awards recognised those carrying forward the legacy of past generations while helping shape a stronger, more inclusive future. Congratulations to all winners and nominees for the impact you're making across our teams, workplaces and communities.
