🤝 Community Partnership in Action 🎨 Peaceful Living was thrilled to welcome a team of Univest volunteers, including members of their summer internship cohort, to our headquarters this week. Their team spent the day painting and refreshing our office space, helping us create a more welcoming environment for the individuals and families we serve. Partnerships like this are vital to our mission. When local businesses invest their time and energy in hands-on service, they help strengthen the inclusive communities we’re proud to be part of. 🍽️ Building Life Skills Through Culinary Exploration 🍽️ At Peaceful Living’s Delco Creative Gifts program, individuals in our Cooking Club recently prepared a delicious batch of butter chicken, embracing both new flavors and valuable life skills in the process. Cooking Club is just one of many hands-on, interest-based programs within our Creative Gifts offerings that empower individuals in the intellectual and developmental disability (ID/A) community to lead fuller, more independent lives. Through activities like meal prep, we foster practical learning, self-confidence, cultural appreciation, and, most importantly, community.

🌿🌼 Peace Valley in the Garden! 🌼🌿 Our Creative Gifts Day Program from Peace Valley took a beautiful trip to visit their garden plot at the Bucks County Audubon Society this week! 🪴💚 Tending to the garden is more than just planting and watering — it’s about nurturing growth, building skills, and connecting with nature. Our individuals love watching their hard work bloom and being part of something that gives back to the earth. 🌎🌱 Huge thanks to the Bucks County Audubon Society at Honey Hollow for providing such a peaceful and inspiring space for learning and growth!

Yesterday was extra sweet at our Peace Valley Creative Gifts program! 🍰✨ A talented family member of one of the individuals we serve led an amazing cupcake decorating activity, and the results were almost too beautiful to eat! He recently showcased his baking skills on national TV, and today he shared that same creativity and joy with our community. 👨🍳🧁 Thank you for spreading sweetness and smiles — our individuals had a blast making (and tasting!) some unforgettable cupcakes.

🌟 Huge shoutout to LCBC Church and their Impact PA volunteer team! 🌿 This past weekend, volunteers showed up with big hearts and helping hands — power washing, painting, and landscaping across several Peaceful Living sites. Your generosity and energy made a visible difference, and we are so grateful for our partnership. Thank you for helping us, one brush stroke and garden bed at a time! 💙👷♀️🪴
