"I’ve worked at PCA for 15 years, and I’m currently the Logistics Manager at the Phoenix, Arizona facility. One of the things I appreciate most about working for PCA is the Golden Rule philosophy and the support the entire team provides for one another. With the vast knowledge in this building, all challenges can be discussed and overcome. I recently started ordering paper rolls for the facility, and it has been a great opportunity to grow and learn a new skill set. Most of my background has been in converting, so learning scheduling and paper ordering has rounded out and supported my knowledge base. My role at PCA has shaped me both at work and outside of work. Time management immediately comes to mind. The skill set I have learned at PCA has helped me organize my personal life. The Golden Rule mindset has also carried over to my life outside of work. Listening, kindness and support bring out the best in myself and others. I’ve been supported in my journey by Fred Pacifico, our GM, who has really been an amazing team builder and leader. One of my favorite quotes from him is, ‘Part of my job is to create leaders.’ With off-site leadership training and the feeling that our opinions matter, he empowers every teammate at the 'Cactus Plant'. Outside of work, one of my favorite pastimes is hiking with my wife, daughters and our Cane Corso, Kong. Arizona is such a beautiful place to live. My other guilty pleasure is scuba diving. I was blessed enough to live in Hawaii for eight years and have logged over 300 dives. I’ve been diving for 18 years. The majority of my dives were in Hawaii, where I collected tropical fish for aquariums and Bass Pro Fish Shops around the country. What first drew me to diving was the absolute tranquility of being weightless underwater, the thrill of night diving and the endless beauty the oceans and their wildlife have to offer.
