This summer, I had the opportunity to intern with NVR, Inc. and Ryan Homes, and I’m incredibly grateful for the experience and everything I learned. Throughout the internship, I had the opportunity to experience different areas of the company, including production, warranty, mortgage, permitting, sales, and finance. Getting exposure to these different areas gave me a much better understanding of the homebuilding industry and how the different teams work together. I also participated in the PTP intern class, where I learned about site plans, critical paths, resites, jobsite safety, and other important aspects of the industry. One of my favorite experiences was touring the NVR plant and seeing the homebuilding process firsthand. Most importantly, this internship allowed me to see myself growing within the company and pursuing a career in the homebuilding and real estate industry. I’m very thankful to everyone at NVR, Inc. and Ryan Homes who made this such a valuable experience. I’m leaving this summer with a stronger understanding of the industry, new skills, and plenty of great memories. Thank you, NVR/Ryan Homes, for an incredible summer! 🏠

As I enter the final weeks of my internship with NVR Mortgage, I’ve been reflecting on how much I’ve learned and grown throughout this experience. What began as an opportunity to gain industry exposure quickly became an experience that challenged me, expanded my knowledge, and strengthened my confidence as I prepare to begin my career. Throughout this internship, I’ve gained valuable insight into the mortgage industry, developed professional skills that will serve me well in the future, and had the opportunity to work alongside talented individuals who are passionate about what they do. As a Finance student at Coastal Carolina University, it has been incredibly rewarding to apply concepts from the classroom to real-world situations and see firsthand how they impact the homebuying process. I am especially grateful to everyone at NVR Mortgage who has taken the time to mentor me, answer my questions, and support my professional development. The relationships I’ve built and the lessons I’ve learned have made a lasting impact and reinforced my interest in the financial services industry. I’m also excited to share that I have accepted a full-time position as a Loan Processor with NVR Mortgage following my graduation from Coastal Carolina University next May. I’m thankful for the trust and confidence the company has placed in me, and I look forward to continuing to learn, grow, and contribute to such an outstanding team. Feeling incredibly grateful as I wrap up my internship with NVR! One of my favorite parts of this experience was getting to work with different teams and seeing firsthand how every role plays an important part in bringing a home to completion. It gave me a whole new appreciation for all the people and work behind the homes we build. I’m also so thankful for the opportunity to learn more about the heart of NVR and experience such an amazing culture in the office. Well I have officially wrapped up my internship with Ryan Homes, a division of NVR, Inc., and I am so incredibly grateful for everything I’ve learned over the past 10+ weeks. The majority of my internship was spent out at Timbergrove by Ryan Homes, where I had the opportunity to experience the homebuilding process from the ground up. From walking homes through every stage of construction and participating in inspections to sitting in on homeowner meetings, I gained hands-on experience that gave me a much deeper understanding of what it takes to build a quality home while delivering an exceptional experience for homeowners. Beyond the jobsite, I was fortunate to attend trainings across several departments, including NVR Mortgage, Office Operations, Sales, Land, Costing, and Finance. Seeing how each department works together gave me a broader perspective on the business side of homebuilding and reinforced how much collaboration goes into every home that is built. A huge thank you to Jared Stoltz and Joseph (Joey) Rizzo for investing your time, knowledge, and patience in me this summer. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to teach me, answer my many questions, and give me opportunities to learn both on-site and across different areas of the company. Your mentorship made this experience incredibly rewarding, and I truly appreciate everything you’ve done to help me grow both personally and professionally. I’m excited to apply everything I’ve learned as I continue pursuing my degrees in Real Estate and Business Management Florida State University - Herbert Wertheim College of Business. A couple weeks ago, we hosted the 4th annual production softball tournament in Tampa for all divisions in the Sunshine State. And for the 3rd year in a row, Tampa brought home the championship belt! Shoutout a great group of guys, and even better cheering section of our back office team! Looking forward to seeing everyone again next year in Southeast Florida.
