Supporting the communities where we live and work is an important part of who we are. Recently, NextEra Energy Resources donated 100 backpacks to the Bruni community's back-to-school event. Located near our Torrecillas Energy Center, Bruni is home to many of our landowners and employees, and the backpacks will help support students in Webb CISD as they prepare for the new school year. We're grateful for the opportunity to contribute to local students' success and to support the communities that help power our operations. We wish Webb CISD students, families and educators a successful and rewarding school year ahead.

Congratulations to NextEra Energy’s chapter of U.S. Women in Nuclear (U.S. WIN)! At the recent U.S. WIN National Conference, the chapter earned the Excellence Award for Public Outreach, Advocacy and Support for its commitment to educating the public on the nuclear industry. And, Carrie Reinhard, Point Beach Nuclear Plant’s occupational health nurse/senior health and safety consultant, received the 2026 U.S. WIN Leadership Award. Forty-five years ago, Dave Robinson began his career at Seabrook Nuclear Power Plant as a chemistry technician. What started as a steady job close to home became something more: a multigenerational commitment to powering New England. From startup through decades of operation, Dave has supported the plant’s long-term performance and reliability. Today, his son Chris works alongside him—years after first touring the plant’s control room as a child. For the Robinsons, Seabrook isn’t just where they work. It’s where one generation’s dedication inspires the next. “Knowing that I can carry on the legacy of something he’s worked on longer than I’ve been alive means everything to me,” Chris says. Matthew Ihnken’s passion for conservation was shaped by summers spent in the woods and lakes of northern Wisconsin. That early connection to the outdoors grew into a career that’s taken him from raising one of North America’s rarest tortoises to studying spotted owls. Today, as an environmental services project manager at NextEra Energy Resources, he partners with scientists and conservation groups to protect threatened species and the ecosystems they depend on while supporting responsible energy development.
