Building for the next generation.

About us

It takes the effort of hundreds and sometimes thousands of people to bring together the vision, expertise and materials to build any structure. McGough is proud of our role in that process – and we’re proud of the results. As a respected general contractor, we bring six generations of experience to prominent, distinctive and complex construction projects. Our people and their expertise in planning, development, construction and facility management power our success. From new construction to renovation – with world-class owners, designers and trusted trade partners – McGough has a history of collaboration and partnership that leverages the power of people and the advantage of cross-functional expertise. We have worked in diverse spaces including corporate, industrial, healthcare, institutional, technology, life sciences, housing, education, worship, performing arts and retail. Whether your project is large or small, start with confidence from the ground up.

  • At McGough, being an intern doesn’t mean sitting on the sidelines. Over the summer, Kylee Eno has gained hands-on experience and become a meaningful part of her project team. Just as important, she’s found a community where people are approachable, supportive, and willing to help her grow. You don’t have to know everything about construction before you start. Come ready to learn, get involved, and be part of the team!

  • There’s a lot more creativity in construction than you might expect — just ask our first-ever Communications Intern, Andrea Alkalai! Andrea stepped into an entirely new industry and quickly discovered that no two days look the same. From visiting job sites and photographing events to supporting social media, PR, and marketing, her internship has given her a front-row seat to the many stories behind the work we do. • Big equipment. Complex systems. Countless moving pieces. And a team working together to make it all happen. For Industrial Engineer Intern Marie Diffley, seeing that process firsthand has been one of the most exciting parts of her summer with McGough. Marie has spent her internship moving between industrial projects, collaborating with teams inside and outside McGough, and seeing engineering plans move from paper to reality on active job sites. When you’re building a career in industrial construction, some of the best learning happens in the field. Interested in gaining hands-on experience with McGough? As McGough continues to grow our healthcare work across the country, we were proud to celebrate the recent groundbreaking of Fairview St. John’s Hospital, where a transformative expansion will help meet the growing healthcare needs of the surrounding community. The project includes approximately 200,000 square feet of new construction and 30,000 square feet of renovations, nearly doubling the hospital’s current footprint. Improvements will include 14 new surgical suites, an expanded emergency department, additional inpatient and intensive care beds, enhanced robotic surgery capabilities, updated patient spaces and improved site access. Scheduled for completion in late 2028, this expansion will bring more specialized services together and make high-quality care more accessible for patients, care teams and the surrounding community. We’re honored to help build what’s next for Fairview St. John’s Hospital. HDR Fairview Health Services

  • McGough recently celebrated a major milestone at the new 50-bed Maximum Security Facility in Lubbock, Texas, with a topping-out ceremony. Project partners, team members, and guests signed the final steel beam, heard remarks from project leaders, and watched as the beam was lifted into place. The 110,000 SF facility is being delivered on behalf of the Texas Health and Human Services Commission and will include secure patient and therapy spaces, administrative areas, diagnostic and treatment functions, essential operational services, and therapeutic outdoor environments. We are proud of the progress made possible by the dedication of our project team and partners, including HKS, Inc. and Hill International, Inc. We look forward to carrying this momentum through the next phase of construction.
