Excited to share that Maxima is sponsoring the CONNECT CFO Leadership Summit this fall. CONNECT brings together finance leaders shaping the future of the office of the CFO, and we're glad to be part of the conversation as more finance teams embrace agentic accounting automation. Join in person October 5–7 at the Hyatt Regency in New Orleans, or online October 19–23. Register with code 𝗠𝗔𝗫𝗜𝗠𝗔-𝗩𝗜𝗣: In person: https://lnkd.in/gXZnM4SC Online: https://lnkd.in/gmczBJWi Looking forward to connecting with finance leaders there and talking through what agent-prepared, accountant-reviewed accounting looks like in practice.

Last Thursday we hosted 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗢𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲 with Corgi, a rooftop DJ and drinks social for the finance/accounting and risk folks in San Francisco. Good music, good drinks, and a rooftop full of people who actually showed up for it. Thanks to everyone who came out, and to the Corgi team for building this with us. This won't be the last one!

Maxima's bank connections now run through a direct Plaid integration, with MX added as a provider to reach more institutions. More banks connected means more accounts running on automated feeds and reconciliation, not manual statement uploads. A $26B AI company already runs their reconciliation on this connection. The less visible part of agentic accounting is the data pipe underneath it. It has to be reliable enough to trust with real bank connections, whatever institution a company actually uses, not just the popular ones.

A $29B AI company's senior accountant put it simply: "Maxima feels like a true partner. We rely on it daily, and it gives us visibility across close dependencies we never had before." That kind of daily reliance is the real signal. Tools get used when they're required. Partners get relied on because they actually make the job easier. Visibility into close dependencies used to mean chasing people down across teams to find out what was blocking what. Now it means opening one place and seeing the whole picture. This is what agentic accounting is actually for: giving teams more visibility into the work, without losing control of it.

Tomorrow at 11am PT: Why accounting teams are moving beyond checklists. Joshua Waldron, Chief Accounting Officer at Scale AI, moved close preparation off checklist tooling and automated 98% of cash workflows across 10+ data sources. His team now closes three days faster, under a KPMG audit. Madison Farnsworth, Head of Finance Systems at Miro, leads their shift to agent-prepared workflows across bonus accruals, cash journals, and T&E coding. They're joining our CEO Yogi Goel to talk about what changes when preparers become reviewers, and what auditors actually ask when agents prepare the work. If your close still runs on spreadsheets plus a checklist, this is worth the hour. Save your seat — [https://lnkd.in/gxit5K3H]

Papaya Global is an iconic company running global payroll for teams in nearly every country. $50B in processing volume, 15 pay-in currencies, 130 payout currencies, world class management team, high bar for controls & compliance. Their goal was touchless and real-time accounting: cash reconciled and posted as it happens, not once a month. Now journal creation and reconciliation run end to end on Maxima Agentic platform, posting and matching straight into their ERP, at a volume and complexity most systems aren't built to handle. Who says Agentic AI can't deliver to the rigors of Accounting. This is agentic accounting in practice: less time doing mundane work, more time getting ahead. Let us show you what it can do for you: https://lnkd.in/ga3chj33

A $𝟯.𝟯𝗕 mental health company, just named to 𝗧𝗜𝗠𝗘'𝘀 𝟭𝟬𝟬 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗜𝗻𝗳𝗹𝘂𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, runs their close through agentic accounting on Maxima. Here's what their team recently told us: "Maxima leveled up our preparers into approvers. Now my team is reviewing journal entries instead of building them by hand." That's the shift we're building toward, preparers doing less typing, more deciding.

Two months ago, I joined Maxima as the first brand marketer. Two months later, we partnered up with Corgi to host a rooftop DJ night for 50+ accounting and finance folks in SF. A place to connect that isn’t a bland conference room. That’s what I wanted to build since day one. Thanks to Redpoint for hosting us and everyone who showed up! Email me at juliana@maximahq.com if you want in on the next one.
