LSI’s recent Black Hawk Electrical Trainer completion was featured in the March edition of the National Training and Simulation Association newsletter. "LSI recently completed the design, development, and delivery of four state-of-the-art UH-60M Black Hawk Electrical Trainers (BHETs). With a total contract value of $30 million, the project was awarded to the Jacksonville, Florida-based company on September 24, 2020, and focused on addressing critical training needs identified by the 128th Aviation Brigade. The impact of LSI’s BHET reaches beyond the 128th and the U.S. Army. LSI’s Black Hawk Electrical Trainers are part of a Foreign Military Sales (FMS) program, which aims to enhance the capabilities of our allied partner nations and improve interoperability with U.S. forces. By providing high-fidelity training systems, LSI helps to ensure that America’s international allies are equally well-prepared to maintain and operate Black Hawk helicopters now and into the future. In addition to the delivery of the trainers themselves, many of LSI’s Black Hawk training systems include multi-year Contractor Logistic Support (CLS) options, ensuring that the systems remain operational and up-to-date for years to come. This extended support is vital for the continued effectiveness of the trainers by providing preventative maintenance, technical support, and upgrades as necessary to meet evolving training needs. With its expanded functionality and long-term support, this project offers a better "bang for the buck," than just the standard BHMT, ensuring that UH-60M electricians, avionics technicians, and mechanics are trained to the highest standards. By meeting the training requirements of the 128th Aviation Brigade and enhancing the capabilities of our partner nations, LSI reinforces its commitment to supporting U.S. defense readiness and fostering strong international defense relationships."
