  • Groot Handelsgebouw collaborated with lunch café Multi Multi to celebrate the herring season with a festive gathering at Maaskant Park, the property's green courtyard. The event invited the community to take part in this cherished Dutch tradition by enjoying the salted and filleted herring dish. Additional local bites, drinks, and live accordion music added to the atmosphere and celebrated the spirit of the city. #JamestownEU #Placemaking #Community

  • In 2020, we made our first investment in Germany with the acquisition of Schanzenstrasse 22, 24, and 28—three historic office buildings in Cologne’s emerging Mülheim area. Built between 1890 and 1914, the 34,545-square-meter campus now hosts a mix of media companies and educational institutions. Since arriving in the neighborhood, we’ve introduced placemaking efforts such as art installations, makers markets, and e-bike facilities to foster community and connection. In 2024, we expanded to Berlin through a partnership with CIC (Cambridge Innovation Center), managing the historic Lohmühlenstraße 65 factory near Görlitzer Park. The campus seamlessly blends workspace, culture, and high-impact programming to serve as physical centers of gravity for local innovation communities. These properties are part of our growing footprint across Germany and Europe, with a continued focus on creating mixed-use ecosystems that support resilient industries and inspire collaboration. #JamestownEurope #GermanRealEstate #Placemaking

We have a long history of creating technology and innovation hubs across our portfolio. Most recently, we have been fostering clusters of AI startups and AI-powered companies, including at Industry City in Brooklyn and our Northern Waterfront portfolio in San Francisco. Companies in emerging industries often want to be near each other and part of a broader ecosystem of businesses that includes potential partners, customers, and investors. By intentionally co-locating AI firms and early adopters of the technology, we can help build that ecosystem for AI companies and ultimately accelerate innovation.

  • Construction is officially underway at Mercato in Naples, Florida, following last month’s groundbreaking on the expansion of the Piazza, the property’s central greenspace. The project will triple the size of the Piazza to enhance walkability and create a more pedestrian-friendly environment. Upgrades include enhanced seating, added shade features, and a performance stage. Placemaking initiatives and community-focused programming will bring the revitalized space to life upon completion, strengthening the property's role as a neighborhood gathering place. • San Francisco’s Northern Waterfront is fast becoming a magnet for AI and innovation. Our presence in the neighborhood began with the acquisition of Waterfront Plaza in 2014, followed by Levi’s Plaza in 2019. Over the years, we’ve fostered a cluster of creativity, tech, and talent: a campus environment in an urban setting. Salient recently made its return to San Francisco from Los Angeles, choosing our Waterfront Plaza as its new home. They’re one of several AI companies opting for this serene, scenic alternative to the traditional tech corridors. They are not alone in migrating north, with six other AI companies signing office leases in our Northern Waterfront portfolio over the past few months, and even more deals in process. • Global fashion brand H&M recently signed a lease at Via Sparano 24-26, a historic building along the prominent pedestrian street in Bari’s Murat District where Jamestown has served as asset manager since 2021. Known for its art nouveau buildings, Via Sparano is a central hub for retail and urban life in Bari, which is located in the Puglia region in the southeast of Italy. The building, formerly known as La Rinascente, is a city landmark originally built in 1925 and renovated in 2007, offering over 5,000 square meters of high-street retail. #JamestownEurope #HistoricArchitecture #UrbanRetail

One city block. 6 million annual visitors. Chelsea Market isn’t just the world's busiest food hall—it’s a landmark of culture, cuisine, and commerce. Originally a 19th-century Nabisco factory and the birthplace of the Oreo, the site has been transformed into one of the city’s most iconic destinations, welcoming an average of 15,000 people daily. Today, it’s a launchpad for culinary talent and small business success, home to names like ALF Bakery, Dickson’s Farmstand Meats, Los Tacos No. 1, and Lobster Place/Cull & Pistol—all set within a space where historic character meets contemporary life. Learn more from Daily Mail here: https://lnkd.in/eBAnSf45 Jamestown sold Chelsea Market to Google in 2018 and currently manages the property’s food and retail leasing and community programming for Google. #CRE #NewYorkRealEstate #AdaptiveReuse

One Times Square is giving people a new reason to look up. A 12-foot Happy Gilmore 2 golf ball landed on top of the property, taking over the spot typically reserved for the iconic New Year's Eve Ball. This collaboration with Netflix marks one of the rare times another object has claimed this space. Over the years, One Times Square has celebrated other select cultural moments with symbols like the Hershey's Kiss and the Campbell's Soup Can. #CRE #NewYorkRealEstate #OneTimesSquare

  • Levi’s Plaza just hit reset on carbon emissions. The nearly one-million-square-foot office campus has officially achieved net zero operational carbon, becoming the first existing, large-scale commercial campus in San Francisco to reach this milestone. The clean energy transition was made possible through a more than $50 million retrofit—eliminating onsite fossil fuels, converting heating systems to electric, and offsetting remaining emissions. Levi’s Plaza now fully aligns with San Francisco’s ambitious climate goals, including net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040. "Net zero operational carbon isn't just an environmental milestone—it's a competitive positioning strategy. Modern companies are actively seeking places that align with their own ESG goals and our work at Levi's Plaza positions the property to meet that desire." --Michael Phillips, President of Jamestown.
