FCCI's Young Professionals Group recently spent the day volunteering at the Humane Society of Lakewood Ranch, supporting the organization's mission while strengthening connections with fellow teammates. This past summer I had the opportunity to intern at FCCI Insurance Group as a Data Reporting Intern for the Data Warehouse & BI team. This experience reinforced my passion for working with data and turning complex info into actionable insights. Throughout the summer, my primary focus was analyzing existing reports and refining them to ensure data accuracy and deliver clearer insights for stakeholders. A major highlight of my summer was building a back-end SAS aggregation logic for a new regional leadership dashboard that provided executives with a view of daily and monthly performance, but the best part was the cross-functional collaboration; meeting with Finance and IT on business logic and presenting the final results to executive leadership to show how data directly drives strategic decisions. A huge thank you to Andrew Doodnaught, Sukhmani Bains, and the entire team at FCCI for their incredible mentorship and guidance throughout the summer. Excited to take these lessons and momentum into my next chapter!
