Today we are appointing Rahul Shah as CEO of CommerceIQ. I am moving into the Executive Chairman role. We spent the past year rebuilding CommerceIQ as an AI-native company: how we engineer, how we sell, how we service. We left behind the things that weren't working, which is easy, and some things that were, which is not. The foundation is in place. What is ahead is scale. And the market in front of us is bigger than the one we grew up in. The shelf is being rewritten right now. Shoppers are asking AI what to buy, and it answers in seconds with a handful of products. Getting picked means your content and your media working as one motion, on every retailer, every day. That is a machine problem, not a headcount problem, and the brands that solve it in the next 24 months will take share that does not come back. Rahul is the right leader to go deliver it for our customers! He has scaled companies through exactly this stage more than once, and he is the kind of leader people follow through a hard quarter, not just a good one. To our team and the 2,200+ brands that trust us, the best part of this story is still ahead.

I'm excited to share I will be taking on the CEO role at CommerceIQ Over the last six months, I've connected with customers who run e-commerce at the largest consumer brands in the world. Every conversation highlighted the same challenge. Hundreds of millions of shoppers now use AI to discover and select products to purchase. Brands must compete to show up well in those AI searches and convert by optimizing product content and by strategic use of their retail media spend. However, the traditional agency model cannot meet the speed and breadth that is now possible with AI. CommerceIQ is the agency alternative in the new AI era. With AllyAI, our Retail OS, brands get AI-native technology to work for them 24x7x365. In addition to our AI-native tech stack, we have the world's best retail experts and forward deployed engineers to help design and build the right strategy to optimize paid and organic together. To Guru Hariharan and the board, thanks for trusting me with this opportunity. To our team, I'm excited to work closely with you. To the 2,200+ brands that partner with us, let's help you win more sales in an era of retail shopping agents.

Amazon gave brands a nifty new ad type recently. When you opt in to "Prompts on REC” and their AI creative, you can serve an eComm ad with prebuilt, interactive Alexa prompts and your product as a dynamic ad unit. Which means when a shopper is browsing a third-party site and sees your ad, they can tap a question like "How much protein is in this?" ... land in a Alexa Shopping experience, get an answer, and buy, all without opening Amazon first. The content comes from what you've already built. Prompts are pre-generated and pre-cached, pulling from your Product Detail Pages, Brand Store content, and campaign keywords. This is one many tests from Amazon as they work to ensure Alexa is the consumers primary destination for product research. 50.9% of AI shoppers have walked away from a purchase after an AI assistant flagged a concern with the product. That's the new reality of ecommerce. Shoppers aren't just searching anymore: a third of Amazon queries are now questions, not keywords; and AI shopping assistants like Alexa for Shopping and Walmart's Sparky are answering them before a customer ever sees your product page. The upside is real: Alexa for Shopping customers spend 40% more per order, and Sparky shoppers build baskets ~35% larger than non-users. But only if your content actually answers the questions these assistants get asked. That's what Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) is for. And it builds on SEO, it doesn't replace it. In our latest blog post, we break down how brands can audit, prioritize, and rewrite product content so AI assistants recommend them instead of a competitor.
