About us

ColonialWebb is built on a simple belief: when people feel like they belong and have a purpose, they can achieve almost anything. For nearly 55 years, we have helped shape the environments where life happens by delivering mechanical, electrical, service, industrial, and manufacturing solutions across the Mid-Atlantic. From hospitals and schools to data centers, industrial facilities, and commercial buildings, our teams design, build, maintain, and support the systems that keep communities moving. We are more than a contractor. We are problem-solvers, craftspeople, and trusted partners who believe relationships matter as much as results. Every project, service call, and customer interaction is an opportunity to earn trust through expertise, accountability, and follow-through. Our capabilities span Mechanical and Electrical Construction, Building Services, Industrial Services and Systems, Industrial Refrigeration, Building Automation, Manufacturing, Plumbing, Electrical, HVAC, and more -- providing customers with integrated solutions throughout the life of their facilities. As part of Comfort Systems USA, one of the nation's leading building and industrial systems providers, we combine the strength of a national network with the responsiveness and accountability of a local partner. Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, ColonialWebb employs more than 1,500 teammates across Virginia and Maryland. Guided by our values of Safety, Integrity, Empathy, and Urgency, we are committed to creating exceptional experiences for our customers, supporting meaningful careers for our people, and strengthening the communities we serve. • We took our new brand for a spin this past weekend. 🏁 Our new ColonialWebb logo made its NASCAR debut at Richmond International Raceway Inc., riding on the No. 20 DEWALT Toyota Camry XSE. A big thank you to DEWALT for giving ColonialWebb a spot on the car for the Richmond race. It was pretty cool seeing our name out there under the lights. And we have to admit, CW blue looks pretty good at 150+ mph. 😎 #ColonialWebb #DEWALT #NASCAR #JoeGibbsRacing

  • "Construction is one giant puzzle. And the warehouse? It's an ongoing game of Tetris." 🧩 For Annette Minter, making sure all those pieces come together is part of the job. Working behind the scenes, Annette supports our field and project management teams by keeping materials organized, solving problems, and making sure people have what they need to keep work moving. Along the way, she's built something just as important: trust. It's the people who keep Annette motivated, too. She says the camaraderie, mutual respect, and willingness to help one another are some of the things she looks forward to most each day. And five years from now? "God willing and the creek don't rise," Annette hopes she's still be right here, doing a job she loves and helping her teammates whenever and wherever she can. We're grateful to have you on #TeamCW, Annette! 💙 #builttoearnyourtrust

  • Some projects take our teams hundreds of miles from home. One of our Industrial Refrigeration (IR) teams recently shared this photo after reaching an important project milestone while working in Colorado. It's work most people never see, but it's critical to the industries that rely on safe, reliable refrigeration systems every day. We're proud of the commitment our IR teams bring to every job, wherever it takes them!

  • A summer internship can change the direction of a career. This summer, 14 interns representing 10 colleges and universities joined ColonialWebb, gaining real-world exposure to careers across our industry while contributing to meaningful projects from day one. For our interns, it meant stepping onto jobsites, joining project meetings, asking questions, building relationships, and getting a firsthand look at what a career at ColonialWebb can be. That journey came full circle during the Summer Intern Showcase, where interns shared the projects they contributed to, the challenges they tackled, and the lessons they'll carry with them long after the summer ends.  As Project Engineer Abigail Charleston, a former ColonialWebb intern herself, shared,"giving interns the opportunity to work with multiple teams allows them to get a glimpse into what it takes to bring a job to life and meet the people behind the work. While we may have different roles, we all share the common goal of continuing to do quality work and earning the trust of our customers." One of the most rewarding moments for the internship program comes after summer is over. Many of today's teammates first joined ColonialWebb as interns, making the program an investment not only in students, but in the future of our company. Nathan Wethington, Chief Operating Officer, sees these returning interns as a reflection of the experience they've had. "It's one of the most rewarding moments we have as leaders. When an intern chooses to come back after graduation, it's validation that they experienced our people, our culture and the opportunities we provide, and felt that it aligned with their career goals." That's why ColonialWebb continues to invest in internships; not simply to fill positions, but to help develop the next generation of teammates and leaders.

  • The best internships aren't just about what you learn. They're about the people you meet, the experiences you have, and the memories you make along the way. Looking back at this summer, we'd say our interns checked all three! Over the past few months, they worked alongside teams across ColonialWebb, explored different career paths, asked thoughtful questions, and gained firsthand experience across our company. They also found time for a little fun, from bowling and go-karts to getting to know one another outside of the office! Happy National Intern Day to our 2026 Summer Interns! Thank you for spending your summer with us. We can't wait to see where your journey takes you next! 🩵

Building trust also means investing in the future! Our team had the opportunity to spend the afternoon at Camp NAWIC introducing campers to the world of HVAC through hands-on learning. From cutting and installing sheet metal wall duct to building their own bucket air conditioners, these young women got a firsthand look at what a career in construction can look like. A huge thank you to NAWIC Richmond Chapter #141 for investing in the next generation and creating opportunities that inspire confidence, curiosity, and future careers. Here's to the future builders, problem-solvers, and leaders! 👷♀️💙
