  • Jared Palmer has joined Cognition as our VP of Engineering. While at Vercel, Jared created v0, one of the first successful AI products to turn prompts into software, and the AI SDK, now the default way developers build AI apps in JavaScript. He then served as SVP of GitHub and later VP of Engineering at Xbox for Microsoft. Like many folks at Cognition, he is a builder at heart, having founded Turborepo (acquired by Vercel). Building the AI teammate engineers deserve requires an obsession with building great software that people love. Few have dedicated their career to this more earnestly than Jared. Welcome, Jared!

  • In Prague, Czechia, you can order a week's worth of farm-fresh groceries and have it at your door in an exact 15-minute window. Milk in glass bottles from a local family farm. Fish caught yesterday. Strawberries picked that morning. This is all fueled by Rohlik Group, a Czech powerhouse. It’s profitable, it did >$1.3B of revenue last year, and it's accelerating European grocery delivery with Devin.

  • Compiled Health is building toward a world where every doctor can deliver the full standard of preventive care during a normal patient visit — with a team of just four people, built around Devin. Two researchers built a clinical benchmark in 2 months that would have taken 5–6 engineers many months. In another two-week period, Devin delivered ~430 hours of engineering work — equivalent to adding 4+ engineers to their team. They’re using that leverage to turn hundreds of pages of medical guidelines into clinical logic doctors can inspect, verify, and trust.

How is Cognition working with Devin in Slack Code? 👀👇 Devin follows the work as it happens, picks up a task from the engineering channel, opens a PR with a demo video, and brings in a designer to finish the UI. All without leaving Slack or waiting to be tagged. The agent isn’t off doing its own thing. The whole team is right there, building with it. That's the beauty of multiplayer AI in Slack.

  • Art Levy has joined Cognition as VP of Global Partnerships. Art was previously the Chief Business Officer of Brex, where he spent the last 7 years building the partnerships engine behind deals with the likes of Apple, Oracle, JetBlue, and Capital One, and helped grow a small fintech startup into a company processing tens of billions in spend for the world's largest enterprises. Bringing Devin to every engineering team in the world takes more than great product, it takes great partners. Welcome, Art!

  • What comes to mind when you think of a great colleague? Hardworking. Sharp. A fast learner. Someone who knows when to jump in, and when not to. That's how we built Devin to work in Slack . Devin replies fast and gets to the point. And now, when a task needs deeper work, Devin spins up a code channel, brings in the right people, and keeps the main thread clean. When it comes to agents, etiquette isn’t a given. An engineering team coordinating and shipping into a large, existing codebase needs something different from a solo project. That’s what Devin is built for. When hard things get easier to collaborate on, teams think bigger. We've built the coworker we always wanted, and here's how: https://lnkd.in/gc2i-ztZ

Paul Grewal has joined as our Chief Legal and Global Affairs Officer. Paul has spent the last 6 years as Chief Legal Officer at Coinbase. He was previously VP and Deputy General Counsel at Facebook, and served as a U.S. Magistrate Judge in the Northern District of California, overseeing multiple landmark cases at the center of tech law. As enterprises bring AI into their most critical work, new questions emerge that demand deep thoughtfulness and judgement. Few people have thought harder about where technology and law meet. Welcome, Paul!

At GE Aerospace, Software as a Service, we want to put our customers first and help realize more value from our products.  One of our ambitions with AI is to increase how many software enhancements we can deliver while raising the bar for quality. We’re starting to put that ambition into practice by rolling out Devin, Cognition's AI software engineer, across our engineering teams.  Devin works end to end across the software development lifecycle — assisting our engineers with writing code and carrying it through the testing, review, and iteration that help ensure quality. Our engineers direct and review the work throughout. The goal is more capacity to build and improve the software our customers rely on every day.

GE built America's first jet engine in 1942. Today GE Aerospace's engine technology powers 3 of 4 commercial flights in the world. The team at GE Aerospace, Software as a Service helps airlines fly more without adding another airplane, runway, or pilot. They build software that optimizes routes, reduces fuel consumption, and monitors anomalies. Now they’re using Devin to build more, faster. One team nearly doubled its engineering output. From America’s first jet engine to AI, GE Aerospace keeps inventing the future of flight. It's a privilege to support their work.
