  • AI is changing what it takes to keep critical systems secure, trusted, and resilient in contested and disconnected environments. Our latest issue of Velocity explores what that shift demands across our customers' tech stack. Andrea Inserra brings the challenge into focus for defense leaders, drawing on the military’s PACE framework to show why resilience must be engineered into AI-era systems from the start.    Read her perspective on designing for the mission when failure isn’t an option.

There's a moment in every mission planning cycle when the conversation shifts from what we intend to accomplish to how we keep accomplishing it when conditions turn against us. As an engineer, I've always appreciated the logic of PACE — Primary, Alternate, Contingency, Emergency — the framework special operations forces use to build resilience into communications. What I've come to realize is that PACE isn't just about comms—it's a design philosophy, even more pertinent with the proliferation of AI.   AI hasn't changed the mission — defense has always operated under friction and opposition. What's changed is the speed, scale, and autonomy of the systems we now depend on. You can read my full thoughts—When the Mission Can't Wait: Why PACE principles are key for defense in the AI age–here:   I'm grateful to colleagues like Brad Medairy and Bill Vass for the conversations that shaped my thinking on this.  Booz Allen Hamilton https://lnkd.in/eUQ_-2k2

  • Cyber defenses built for human attackers no longer hold up against autonomous, machine-speed threats. Counter AI introduces a new layer of defense by controlling what AI-powered attackers see and trust—slowing their attack and buying time for defenders to respond. Our webinar “The Pivot to Control” is now available. Tune in to learn how Counter AI helps cyber defenders take control of attacks and ultimately take back the advantage. • AI changed the speed of cyberattacks. Now we’re changing who holds the advantage. The next era of cyber defense won’t be defined by faster detection alone. It will be defined by the ability to influence attacker decisions before they achieve their objectives. Join Booz Allen for The Pivot to Control: Countering Machine-Speed Threats and learn how Counter AI helps defenders move beyond reacting to attacks to actively controlling the conditions attackers rely on. 📅 August 27 | 1:00 PM EDT 📍 Virtual Register Now: https://lnkd.in/evyUTH5v

  • This weekend, INDYCAR made history on the streets of Washington, D.C. The inaugural Freedom 250 Grand Prix brought high-speed racing, military flyovers, and thousands of spectators to the National Mall in celebration of America’s 250th. Behind the scenes, Booz Allen tech—and our people—were supporting the mission to keep the event safe and secure. Thousands of National Guard members, local police officers, firefighters, and EMS personnel used Booz Allen Sit(x)® to maintain real-time situational awareness and coordinate emergency response across the event. The platform gave teams a shared view of what was happening, from the locations of personnel and vehicles to 911 calls and drone activity. Our work didn’t stop at deployment. Booz Allen personnel were on the ground listening to feedback from Sit(x) users and making real-time updates to help it work even better for the mission at hand. In recognition of their efforts, two Booz Allen team members were presented with Challenge Coins from the Executive Office of the President of the United States and the D.C. Safe and Beautiful Task Force. Congratulations to our team, and thank you to the National Guard, law enforcement, and first responders who helped make this historic weekend possible. • A wearable system that detects drones before they become a threat? That’s what Team MRKAT—this year’s Summer Games Challenge Cup Winners—built to give users an early warning against aerial threats. Watch and then congratulate Team MRKAT and all of our 2026 Summer Interns in the comments 👇

  • Booz Allen and Andesite AI are partnering to help cyber defenders investigate faster and respond to threats at machine speed. The partnership draws on Andesite’s Human-AI SOC capabilities and our mission-grade cyber products and defensive tradecraft to give security teams the speed of AI without sacrificing human judgment or control.

Machine speed doesn’t mean removing humans from security operations. It means giving them better information, faster. The strongest SOCs will pair AI’s ability to rapidly investigate, correlate, and surface threats with the judgment and mission context that only experienced security professionals can provide. That’s a core idea behind the new partnership between Andesite and Booz Allen Hamilton: bringing Human-AI security operations to mission-critical environments so defenders can move faster without sacrificing confidence or control. AI accelerates the work. Humans make the decisions. Read more about Andesite's partnership with Booz Allen at the link in the comments. #Cybersecurity #AI #SecurityOperations #HumanAISOC

  • We were proud to welcome Congresswoman Jen Kiggans to our Norfolk facility to see how we’re building mission-ready defense tech for the warfighter. Thank you for visiting!

Yesterday I visited Booz Allen Hamilton’s Norfolk facility to see firsthand how their team is developing innovative technologies to support our warfighters and strengthen our national security. Hampton Roads is home to an incredible defense workforce, and I’m grateful for the men and women working every day to ensure our servicemembers have the tools and capabilities they need to accomplish their mission. Thank you to Booz Allen Hamilton and Steven Escaravage for having me…!  🇺🇸
