This past weekend, we once again partnered with JC Licht to sponsor and march in the Chicago Pride Parade. It was a day filled with community, authenticity, and love. Benjamin Moore and the National Trust for Historic Preservation have partnered to celebrate 100 years of Route 66, shining a light on stops along the iconic roadway and sharing their rich, diverse stories while revitalizing key pieces of Americana. Our second stop is the Road Runner's Retreat sign, standing east of Amboy in California's Mojave Desert. When the restaurant and service station opened in the early 1960s, its neon sign was a beacon for travelers crossing the desert on Route 66. The business closed in 1973, but more than 50 years later, this sign still stands. Recently, Benjamin Moore was honored by the Ann Liguori Foundation at the organization’s 28th Annual Golf Classic. The Ann Liguori Foundation is committed to raising funds and awareness for cancer research and care. The 2026 event benefited St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Each year, the foundation honors an individual or business for their continued investment and charitable work in the community. Chairman and CEO Dan Calkins accepted the award on behalf of the company, following an introduction by Vice President, Sales Operations Lisa Sapia. We entered Contractor Appreciation Month 2026 with a specific goal in mind: strengthening relationships with the pros who power our business by celebrating the skill and dedication they bring to their craft every day. We hit the road in April, bringing breakfasts, lunches, product demos, program highlights, raffles, giveaways, savings, and more to 16 Benjamin Moore locations across North America. Additionally, pop-up events took place all month, mirroring our On Tour stops and capturing the camaraderie, energy, and pride that define our network. In all, we hosted more than 760 events, reaching over 30,000 contractors, and will be announcing our grand prize sweepstakes—a Ford F-150 Platinum truck—winners next month. This Pride Month, we’re proud to celebrate love, authenticity, inclusion, and the vibrant diversity that strengthens our teams, workplaces, and communities. It’s also a meaningful opportunity to continue traditions that foster connection, learning, and belonging across Benjamin Moore. This week, our PRISM Business Resource Group brought color, conversation, and awareness to our Montvale and Flanders locations through its annual Pride tabling event. Employees had the opportunity to learn more about the LGBTQ+ community, engage in meaningful dialogue, and enjoy a rainbow-themed cupcake celebration in each café. We're grateful to our PRISM members and Sodexo partners for helping create a special experience. Later this month, we’ll once again join our Central region retail partner, JC Licht, as a proud sponsor and participant in the iconic Chicago Pride Parade. In honor of Military Appreciation Month, we wrapped up May with an impactful and inspiring speaker session, hosted by our BRG, VALOR, and featuring Staff Sergeant Keni Thomas, a decorated U.S. Army Ranger and Bronze Star recipient best known for his role in the Battle of Mogadishu, portrayed in Black Hawk Down. Staff Sergeant Thomas was a veteran Task Force Ranger with the 3rd Ranger Battalion, and later served as a ranger reconnaissance team leader, master parachutist, combat diver, and advanced EMT. After leaving the Army, he became an award-winning country music artist, bestselling author, Emmy‑winning producer, military analyst, and sought-after leadership speaker. Thomas' story was a powerful reminder of the dedication, resilience, and sacrifice that members of the military and their families make every day. He continues to serve the military community as a national spokesman for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation, advocating for the families of fallen special operations personnel. We're grateful for the opportunity to listen, learn, and reflect. The Parks shared their journey as a proudly Asian-and women-led, multi-generational family business, rooted in resilience, purpose, and strong family values. This month, we celebrated the grand opening of our new distribution center in Abbotsford, BC - a larger, more modern site designed to enhance inventory and distribution efficiency across the province. The festivities included words from a variety of speakers, including Abbotsford Deputy Mayor Dave Loewen, as well as a ribbon cutting ceremony and lunch for all in attendance. An event highlight was the ceremonial check presentation, symbolizing Benjamin Moore's donation to Abbotsford Hospice and Grief Support Society. Representatives from the organization were on hand to accept the donation, and enjoy the day.
