About us
Belmont Charter Network equips students with the knowledge and skills to succeed wherever their talents, diligence, and heart take them. We provide community schools equipped with healthcare, mental health and social service programs. We also provide a wide variety of extracurricular programming including sports, academic enrichment and the arts. Our schools are community hubs and we partner with over 30 different organizations to enrich the depth of programming for youth, families and the whole community. We strive to ensure that each child is healthy, safe, engaged, supported, and challenged. From teachers and principals to coaches and health and safety professionals, we want what you want: for our kids to do well and do good, to be happy and healthy, and to attain their personal definition of success. We value a nurturing environment, responsibility to others, and a commitment to the community beyond school boundaries. We believe that teaching and learning should be joyful! Strong relationships are key to our success. We partner with many business, government, community, and household stakeholders to support our students now and in the future.

Last Friday was one of those days that reminded me why I’m proud to work where I do. Impact Day is Deloitte’s annual firm-wide day of service. Instead of focusing on client work or business development, we step into our communities and give back. In fact, when I was first exploring internships a few years ago, Impact Day was one of the deciding factors that inspired me to apply. Almost three years after submitting that application, I had the opportunity to lead my first Impact Day event! I’m incredibly grateful for the chance to have led a marketing workshop with the amazing team at Belmont Charter Network. We dove into everything from channel strategy to tackling the challenges of the national teacher shortage and we still have more work to do and ideas to explore. On top of my session, my wonderful co-leads, Steven Wallen and Elizabeth Ryan led five hours of beautifulifaction, painting, planting, and gazebo demolition around Belmont’s campus. It was such a special day, and I feel lucky to be part of a firm that values community service. Thank you, BCN for the work you do, and to every nonprofit for creating real impact every day. Service will always have a place in this world, and every act of kindness is worth celebrating.🎉 A special shoutout to Beth Dyson for making all of this possible and for her continued work enriching children’s lives in our Philly communities. And to Nicole Visco and Tyler Roland for their support during our marketing session, for being great friends, and (of course) for always being the brains of the operation. This may have been the first #ImpactDay I’ve led, but it certainly won’t be the last!
