To be the best, you need to work with the best. Our sales teams consist of some of the most motivated, knowledgeable, and skilled sellers in the industry. We recently spoke with Sales Manager Brandon C., a recent Summit winner and top 1% seller, to find out his secrets to success: “There are a few simple skips that I rely on to provide the best possible service. First, stay customer-focused. Listen first and ask open-ended questions that connect the customer’s needs to the right solution. Strong product knowledge, consistent follow-up, and adaptability are some other essentials. I also believe a positive attitude and a strong work ethic go a long way. In this career, what you put in is what you get out. Being the hardest worker in the room is crucial to being at the highest level. I owe much of my successes to the incredible leaders I’ve worked with throughout my career, too. My leadership team consistently supports my growth through coaching, feedback, and development opportunities. They recognize achievements, celebrate wins as a team, and foster an environment that encourages continuous learning and improvement. Overall, this company invests heavily in development, supports career progression, and genuinely values recognition.” Find out more about sales careers and what sets #LifeAtATT apart: https://lnkd.in/eRDpHbWM

Let’s hear it for some of the newest leaders on our Call Center teams. Vinecia, Vince, and Brian recently completed their General Manager onboarding, a multi-day crash course in what it takes to bring the AT&T Guarantee to life for our customers. Sessions on compensation, scheduling, operational strategy, and day in the life simulations led by many talented leaders from across the company helped set the new GMs up for success. Good leadership doesn’t happen by accident. It takes support and collaboration. We design our training with this fact in mind and develop our leaders to be ready for any challenge and meet the needs of their team and customers. #LifeAtATT

A few months ago, Earl decided it was time for a career change. So, he made the pivot from banking to #LifeAtATT and immediately started making an impact on our Field Sales team. Most recently he earned the title of Certified Connectivity Expert which means he is delivering both exceptional customer service and business results. How did he do it? We asked and Earl shared these top tips for sellers: 🦺 Take heed of the safety creed Earl’s team begins every day with a very important motto: “I believe that no job is so important, and no task is so urgent, that I cannot take time to perform my work safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.” 🐢 Slow down Earl emphasizes intentionality. When you slow down and take it all in, you’re more attuned to the customer’s needs and can provide the best solution for them. 🤝 Truth and clarity are key Challenges should be acknowledged openly and met with truth and clarity because, as Earl says, the truth is that “AT&T has taken care of its customers for over 150 years, and today you are backed by our AT&T Guarantee, which is the best in the country.” 🌟 Remember the golden rule When you enter someone’s home or business, treat it with respect. When you are going over terms, be thorough. When you set up a new device, make sure you do it right. Earl explains: “Giving our customers the peace of mind that they are protected and secured for the future is invaluable.” See how you can put these tips into practice on our team: https://lnkd.in/erp_9vnS

    • Photo of Earl S., Senior Field Sales Account Manager, and a quote that reads: ”After transitioning from a leadership career in banking, joining AT&T challenged me to learn, adapt, and grow in a new industry. The relationships I've built, the customers I've helped, and the support I've received from my leaders and peers have made this experience especially rewarding.”

For our final intern spotlight of the summer, we’re reconnecting with Marketing Excellence Program Intern Sarah to find out about all the incredible projects she worked on, and the biggest lessons learned from #LifeAtATT: “I had the opportunity to work on several strategic initiatives across the Brand Team at AT&T. My primary focus was leading change management and launch planning for the new Brand Center. I also supported the Brand Management team by exploring ways to scale creative reviews and compliance processes through AI. I partnered with the Growth Product Marketing team to help develop brand strategies for Connected Life, AT&T’s latest home security offering, by conducting competitive research, synthesizing customer insights, and developing value proposition recommendations. One key takeaway is the importance of brand consistency. Strong guidelines and a clear brand voice ensure that everything from messaging and imagery to colors and icons works together to tell a cohesive story. Another key learning was how to identify whitespace in a saturated market. In crowded categories where competitors often offer similar features, success depends on understanding customer needs, leveraging unique strengths, and delivering a compelling value prop. As I return to continue my MBA, I look forward to building on what I’ve learned this summer. I hope to carry these experiences forward in my career and continue to solve meaningful business challenges.”

    • Graphic with photo of Sarah and fellow interns and a quote from Sarah that says: “This internship reinforced my interest in brand marketing and product innovation while also giving me a firsthand look at how AI can enhance business processes, support better decision-making, and create value for both customers and employees.”

For Lead Compliance Analyst Dee, speaking at the Management Development Program conference was a full-circle moment. Not long ago, she was sitting in the audience as a participant. This year, she joined fellow program alumni on stage to share insights on the importance of building meaningful relationships throughout your career and what continued growth can make possible. The Management Development Program is more than a learning experience. It is an opportunity to build professional skills, strengthen leadership capabilities, and form meaningful connections that can support long-term career growth. For this year’s cohort, the panel served as an important reminder that growth is not just about building skills. It is also about investing in the relationships, connections, and support systems that help shape long-term success. “It was a powerful reminder of how far we can go when we continue investing in our growth and in the relationships we build along the way.” #LifeAtATT

Third summer of #LifeAtATT is in the books for Finance Development Program Intern Austin. What is it that’s brought him back each year? It’s the unique experiences that you only get when working with an industry-leader. Experiences like networking with industry leaders, gaining exposure to innovative tech, and getting to take ownership of real-world projects. Over the past three months, Austin worked on several initiatives focused on technology cost transparency and financial reporting. He developed an allocation model and built Power BI reporting solutions that helped give leadership greater visibility into how technology investments support the business. The highlight though was being chosen to represent AT&T at the NYSE NextGen Bootcamp where he rubbed shoulders with even more leaders and fellow young professionals and took in fresh perspectives on leadership, innovation, and personal growth. Here’s to your continued development as a future financial leader. We know the work you’ve done these past three summers is just the start.

    • Photo of Austin B., Finance Development Program Intern, at the NYSE and a quote that reads: “This summer was defined by experiences that pushed me outside of my comfort zone and helped me grow both professionally and personally. My biggest takeaway from it all is that change isn’t something to fear, it’s an opportunity to learn, improve, and grow.”
