Progress on the Non-Oriented Electrical Steel (NOES) project continues to take shape here at ArcelorMittal Calvert! Congratulations to Jeremy Doggette, MBA on his appointment to the Alabama STEM Council. Jeremy will represent the manufacturing sector for Region 7, bringing valuable industry perspective to a statewide effort focused on strengthening STEM education and connecting students to high-demand careers. The Alabama STEM Council plays a critical role in aligning education with workforce needs—ensuring students across the state are equipped with the skills needed for the jobs of tomorrow. Putting in the work—literally. These Coastal Alabama Community College apprentices are clocking 32–40 hours a week in our Hot Strip Mill while attending their classes. Dedication like this builds strong careers (and steel).
