Twisted Firestarter is a Side Quest in White Orchard. Upon finding the only Dwarf in White Orchard, Geralt finds that non-human prejudice is still going strong, as someone has burned down his forge.

  • Rewards: Experience, Gold, Use of Armorer vendor

Twisted Firestarter Walkthrough

Accept the quest and agree to find the arsonist. Look around behind the burned down hut and inspect the ground with Witcher Vision to find that someone lit a torch and threw it on the roof. Follow the footprints through the orchard until they eventually end up at the river's edge just before the stone bridge.

The arsonist thought he was being clever, but not clever enough. Head under the bridge to find that the suspect was forced out of the water on the other side by a Drowner, getting injured in the process. Follow the blood trail back into town and to a building on the left. Inside, look around the corner to find a bootless man nursing a wounded hand. Bingo.

Confront the arsonist and get him to admit his deeds. He'll offer to pay you off with some money (20 gold), or you can bring him back to the Dwarf. If he resists, you can either beat some sense into him or use Axii to do a bit of mind controlling (and gain an extra 25 XPs), making him follow you back to the dwarf.

If you bring the culprit to the dwarf, he'll call in the guards to do some justice - good old fashioned hanging justice. The blacksmith will reward you (20 gold) and offer a discount on his goods and any services from his still useable anvil.

Regardless of how you completed this quest, the Blacksmith's services are now available. You'll be able to buy and sell weapons and armor, repair, dismantle, and even craft armor.
