Stranger in a Strange Land is a Side Quest in The Witcher 3, found in Skellige. Complete Contract: The Phantom of Eldberg and head to Arinbjorn. No matter what you do, you will end up in combat.

Fight the two warriors, Kraki and Kori. The battle will lead to Jorund's death and you facing trial by Madman Lugos. You will be sent to prison.

There are three ways to get out:

  1. Befriend Simun Brambling, a fellow prisoner. He will give you a tip, in return for a future favor that lets you escape. Call out to the guard, and convince him to let you out and see Madman Lugos. This choice will unlock the side quest, An Unpaid Debt.
  2. Use Axii Delusion Level 3 to confuse the guard into letting you out.
  3. Pick a fight with the other prisoners and the guards will let you see Lugos.

After talking to Lugos, he decides to pay your debt and lets you go. In return, he wants you to help his son, in the quest "The Cave of Dreams".
