There are several different decks of Gwent cards that players can collect throughout their time playing The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

A deck must contain at least 22 Unit Cards in Gwent. It may also contain up to 10 Special Cards.

SKELLIGE

This deck is introduced in the Blood and Wine expansion, and is based on the clans of the Skellige Isles and it includes new 'Mardroeme' / 'Beserker' Abilities.

Northern Realms

This deck is based on the kingdoms of the northern countries: Temeria, Kaedwin, Redenia, Aedirn and Kovir. It has unit cards based on characters appearing in these factions in previous Witcher games.

Scoia'tael

This deck is based on the non-human militia group known as the Scoia'tael. It has unit cards based on important figures that have appeared in previous Witcher titles.

Monsters

This deck is based on the many monstrous creatures that can be found throughout the norther kingdoms. It has unit cards for basic and special monsters that appear throughout the Witcher series. The monster deck includes a large number of cards with the ability 'Muster' which allows one card to call more of its kind onto the field. Monster deck has an especially high number of close combat and muster cards which can be very daunting so make sure to pack an extra 'Biting Frost' and scorch.

Nilfgaardian Empire

This deck is based on the forces of the southern empire of Nilfgaard. It has unit cards based on important characters from this region, as well as various elements of its army.
