Bill Murray was caught on video snapping at a fan who he claimed physically assaulted him in the lobby of a New York City movie theater last week.

The actor ― in a viral TikTok clip with over 1.9 million views ― was walking inside AMC Lincoln Square 13 when he suddenly turned around to address an unidentified man who was filming and trailing behind him.

Murray visited the theater to take part in a Q&A session for a screening of his new movie “The Friend.”

“Stop it,” said the actor, who is seen pointing his finger at the man in a clip captioned “Bill Murray Shuts Down Pushy Fan.”

He added, “If you attack me like that again, I’ll step on your foot. Don’t do it.”

It’s not clear from the clip whether the man stepped on Murray’s feet, however, the actor does appear to stop in his tracks before turning around to confront the man.

The man appeared to be startled by Murray as he held up his hands before the actor, joined by a security guard, walked away.

“That’s a physical assault you just ―,” Murray said.

“Sorry,” the man replied.

“Don’t do it again, don’t do it again,” Murray added. “You’re not big enough to do that.”

Anton Gerasimenko, who filmed the TikTok clip, revealed to Storyful that Murray refused to take photographs or sign autographs beforehand.

“One fan ignored the refusal and tried to take a photo with Bill in the background,” Gerasimenko said. “The first attempt failed, and inside the theater, the fan tried again, accidentally bumping into Bill.”
