EA SPORTS is reimagining the future of American football storytelling

From creators and athletes to esports and interactive experiences, EA SPORTS is redefining how fans connect with football

For generations, American football’s biggest moments have been defined by how they’re told–through iconic plays, legendary athletes, and the shared rituals that bring fans together.

Today, those stories are no longer confined to a single broadcast or screen.

As fan engagement evolves, so does the way football is experienced. Fans don’t just watch the game—they play it, stream it, debate it, and share it across platforms and communities. During football’s biggest moments, EA SPORTS and Madden NFL are redefining how the sport is told, by creating experiences that meet fans wherever they are and invite them to be a part of the action.

That means blending live broadcasts with interactive data, spotlighting athlete stories beyond the field, empowering creators to bring their own voice to the game, and elevating competitive play on a global stage.

Let’s get into it!

A new way to tell the story

At EA SPORTS, our games have always been more than games. They’re platforms for shared experiences, places where fans come together to play, watch, compete, and connect around the sports they love.

That philosophy extends beyond the console. Whether through live events, streams, or competitive play, EA SPORTS is exploring new ways to blend the authenticity of the sport with the interactivity, creativity, and cultural relevance of Madden NFL.

The result is a storytelling that’s dynamic, participatory, and shaped by the fans themselves.

“With Super Bowl LX in the backyard of our global headquarters, this year truly feels like a home game for us. This will be our biggest presence ever, and EA SPORTS Presents Madden Bowl is at the center of it, a celebration of the fans, athletes, creators, and music shaping the culture of football. We’re going to bring an incredible show to the Bay, and share that energy with football fans everywhere.”

Creators at the center

Creators play a critical role in how modern football stories are told. They bring personality, humor, insights and community, often shaping how fans experience the game in real time.

During Super Bowl LX week, we’re placing creators at the heart of the experience. From the Creator Lounge at NFL Opening Night to a SKETCH live stream from the EA SPORTS Presents Madden Bowl blue carpet, creators will tell the story of EA SPORTS and Madden NFL at the Super Bowl in their own voices.

Through exclusive access, EA SPORTS is empowering creators to engage directly with fans and connect them more deeply with the energy and excitement of Super Bowl week than ever before.

Athletes as storytellers

Today’s athletes aren’t just competitors or celebrities, they’re the cultural voices driving fandom around the sport.

Madden NFL is creating space for athletes to show up as their full selves. Inside the NFL Media Center, athlete-focused content experiences give players opportunities to connect directly with fans through gameplay, conversation, and culture — offering perspectives that go beyond highlights and box scores.

From Jameis Winston as a host of the EA SPORTS Presents Madden Bowl blue carpet, to the I AM ATHLETE podcast connecting with some of the biggest stars of the game, these moments humanize football and bring fans closer to the people behind the helmets as only EA SPORTS can.

Competitive play is global entertainment

Esports has become an essential part of modern sports culture, and football is no exception. For a new generation of fans, watching football includes watching the best in the world compete on the sticks.

The Madden Championship Series (MCS) is set to finish out the week in San Francisco, where elite competitors from around the world will showcase their skill, strategy, and mastery of the game.

This series showcases the highest level of competitive Madden NFL play, turning digital skill and strategy into must-watch entertainment.

Culminating during Super Bowl LX week, the eSports Madden Bowl places elite competitors alongside the sport’s biggest cultural stage. The result is a new chapter of football storytelling—one driven by competition, mastery, and global community.

A new way to watch

Beyond Super Bowl week, our creative and innovative teams are utilizing cutting-edge technologies to enhance football storytelling and build new ways to experience live  football.

Rather than simply watching a game unfold, the EA SPORTS Madden NFL Cast transforms the broadcast into a living, data-powered experience. Blending video game elements with live action, these streams create an immersive, data-powered live football experience that injects Madden NFL’s unique brand elements as animated overlays. Featuring live Madden NFL graphics, route trees, play cards and player ratings, the Madden NFL Cast has been transforming football strategy, information and IQ for viewers.

The result is a broadcast that feels intuitive for gamers, accessible for casual fans, and deeply informative for anyone who wants to better understand the game on the field. Experiences like the Madden NFL Cast showcase the interactive future of sports and the opportunity for EA SPORTS, with its partners, to shape what comes next.

What comes next

By combining live data, gameplay-inspired visuals, creator voices, athlete stories, and competitive play, EA SPORTS is shaping a future where football storytelling is more immersive, more inclusive, and more connected than ever before.

As we continue to collaborate with partners across sports, media, and entertainment, EA SPORTS will keep pushing what’s possible, redefining how fans watch, play, create, and connect.
