A Rockstar Games developer responded to a fan who had asked for more “good news” from reporter Jason Schreier about GTA 6, and now he’s disappeared from social media.
Leaks about Grand Theft Auto 6 have been the most-sought-after pieces of information in the gaming world for a few years now. Fans have been desperate to see what Rockstar Games has up their sleeve for the next iteration of the iconic franchise.
Reporter Jason Schreier has been at the forefront of that, reporting details about the initial trailer hours before Rockstar announced it. It was even reported that Rockstar considered pushing that announcement just to “screw with” the Bloomberg reporter and his story.
With fans anticipating a third trailer, and the marketing for GTA 6 to start ramping up, they’ve they’ve started hoping that Schreier will deliver more “good news” as May rolls around.

However, Saikat Koley, a lead character artist at Rockstar Games, took issue with those requests and had a pointed message for the reporter.
“We don’t want him snooping to our company and project,” he said, replying to a fan account that had hoped for more “good news.”
However, shortly after Koley made that post, it was removed and his account disappeared, seemingly being deactivated by the lead character artist. Koley, who has credits for Grand Theft Auto 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, is based at Rockstar India in Bengaluru.
As noted, Rockstar has been pretty coy about the new game, delaying it until November 19, 2026, so that they can “finish the game with the level of polish” that fans “have come to expect and deserve.”

Developers don’t usually speak on Rockstar projects until long after they’ve left the company, with insiders reporting that the company is “locked up” like Area 51 regarding anything GTA 6-related.
They’ve even reportedly shared “misinformation” to try and snuff leakers out too, something that Schreier has been able to avoid, given his reliable track record on all things Grand Theft Auto 6.
