The Torment difficulty system of Diablo 4 has changed since the launch of the Lord of Hatred DLC. While the Torment system still scales up the rewards with difficulty, changes have been made to the tiers and the bonuses they offer.
Let’s first find out how you can unlock the new Torment difficulty levels.

How to access the Torment difficulties in Diablo 4
The old Torment system, introduced with the Vessel of Hatred, required us to reach the level cap (70). For the new system, we will need to reach Level 60. This will unlock the Artificer’s Obelisk. You must also be able to clear Tier 10 of The Pit. The latter difficulty levels will require you to clear higher tiers of The Pit
There are no other hard requirements as such. The system is universal for both Eternal and Seasonal characters. Unlocking the new Torment system is only the first step, since there are twelve different levels of difficulty.

All Torment difficulty bonuses in Diablo 4
The higher you go up the Torment difficulty, the harder it gets to clear the in-game content. However, you also get better rewards and have higher chances of gaining the rarest loot.
