A letter from Service Director Paul Magovac

Dear Residents of City of Brunswick,

The City of Brunswick would like to inform all residents of an upcoming infrastructure improvement project to upgrade the water main along Center Road. The City of Brunswick was able to receive funding from the City of Cleveland Water Division for this project.

Construction will occur on Center Road 400 feet west of Troon Avenue to Garfield Avenue. The work is scheduled to begin on March 9, 2026, and is expected to continue through the end of April 2026. This project is part of our ongoing commitment to maintaining and improving the reliability and quality of our community’s water system.

During construction:

  • Roadway access will be maintained in both directions.
  • Proper signage and traffic control measures will be in place.
  • Motorists should expect traffic delays in the work zone.
  • We encourage drivers to use caution and allow extra travel time when passing through the area.

We understand that construction projects can cause temporary inconvenience and appreciate your patience and cooperation as we complete these important improvements. The upgrades to the water main will help ensure continued dependable water service for our residents and businesses.

If you have any questions regarding this project, please contact the City’s Engineering Department.

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Sincerely,
Paul J. Magovac, Service Director

Hyper-Reach Emergency Notification System

The City of Brunswick is now working with Hyper-Reach to provide emergency notifications in the case of an emergency. The Hyper-Reach system delivers messages through a combination of phone calls, text and email messages, and TTY/TDD service for the hearing impaired. It can reach thousands of targeted households in seconds and simultaneously extend alerts via social media, Alexa-enabled smart speakers, browser notifications, and FEMA’s Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) system for most mobile phones manufactured since 2011. Brunswick safety officials encourage you to enroll now at http://hyper-reach.com/ohcityofbrunswicksignup.html.

If you prefer to not receive notifications but your information was automatically registered, the best course of action would be to sign into Hyper-Reach and opt out.

Frontier

Frontier Communications is facilitating work in the City of Brunswick. They have the right to utilize the utility easement. Frontier is to notify households 4-7 days before work begins in your neighborhood.

Please contact Frontier with any concerns regarding their construction project:
