    Looking for a fold-out map

The book is clean and crisp, and terrific value for money compared to either the original publication (in a journal, Royal Geographical Society, Vol 8). The original in either format had a fold-out map as far as I can tell. It isn't in this reprint, which was a disappointment. I'm not calling the lack enough to reduce the rating for a good and valuable reprint, but I thought I'd mention it.

Found this book via Google books and there's not much info elsewhere.

This book details Curzon's account of his expedition to the remote Pamir region near modern-day Tajikistan, Afghanistan, China, and Pakistani Kashmir.

Curzon is a British explorer and there are moments I found humorous from a modern perspective as he travels with Kyrgyz nomads along ancient Silk Road paths.

The route Curzon takes traverses an area known as the Pamir in the far northeastern corner of Afghanistan... the eastern end of the modern-day Wakhan Corridor. This mountainous plain is among the most remote landlocked inhabited places in the world where in 2016 nomads still live.
