One specific gameplay issue has been addressed involving player lock, where the CPU could get stuck repeatedly throwing pitches in the dirt. Along with that fix, 17 player models have been updated and City Connect bats are planned for a future update.

The development team also took some time to clear up how Plate Coverage Indicator shrinkage works. Just before launch, it was mentioned during a stream that shrinkage on pitches low and away would be removed, but the team wanted to explain what actually changed.

From a gameplay balance standpoint, the system still adjusts PCI size based on pitch type and location. If a pitcher leaves a curveball hanging, the PCI gets larger since those are typically punished. A well-placed slider low and away is still harder to hit, so the PCI will be slightly reduced in that case and swing timing continues to play a big role in how it reacts.

The main change is how those penalties are applied. Previously, hitters were being hit with two reductions, one for the pitch breaking away and another for its low location. Now only one applies instead of both stacking together, which helps keep things balanced while also reducing the number of foul balls seen in earlier versions.

The team addressed the importance of keeping the game fair and enjoyable for everyone. Any use of exploits, cheats or unauthorized tools to gain an advantage goes against the Terms of Service and the focus remains on providing a level playing field across the community.

Developers are actively monitoring in-game activity to identify violations and have already taken action on a number of accounts with more enforcement expected moving forward, including permanent bans when necessary. Player reports continue to play an important role in helping maintain balance.
