Multisite integeation

    Hi everyone. I have two new news websites which are hyperlocal. One website focuses on a particular location and the other a different one. But i have a category where I can post the same news item in both websites. Like that of sports or entertainment that can be useful in both websites.

    My queries to integrating multisite is two:

    1. Will I lose the content on the websites?
    2. I have heard that search engines might not index the posts. Is it true?

    Neither the use of a multisite nor the tagging of posts in such shared categories leads to any disadvantage in search engines. On the contrary: tagging posts in this way provides additional internal links, which in turn is good fodder for search engines. Whether this happens in a multisite or not is irrelevant, as Google views them as individual websites. Of course, the IP is shared, but that is no longer such a big criterion these days.

    Your challenge will be more about managing the categories across the individual websites. I think there are plugins for that.
