    I am using the WP PalPal plugin with Post SMPT. It has been working last year up to 12/22/2025. This year, it gives me an error. Nothing to my knowledge has changed. I test Post SMPT and it works. Nothing has changed with my hosting company.

    I am getting the following error;
    “There was an error trying to send your message. Please try again later.”

    I am beginning to think that it has something to do with PayPal.

    Any ideas?

    Hi, When does this error occur? The plugin only tries to send an email (if enabled in the settings) after a purchase.

    When the form is filled out and the PayPal button is pressed, I get this error. Never made it to PayPal. According to Post SMPT logs, it never got there. Trying to figure out where the error is coming from.

    Thanks. What form is it? Is it possible to provide a link to the page where this is happening?

    Thanks. This may not have anything to do with email. There is an error in the PayPal window. Do you have your API credentials updated in the plugin settings? In the latest release the API was upgraded.

    Yes, did that yesterday.

    Please enable debug in the plugin settings. You can send us the log using the contact form on the site: https://wphowto.net/contact

    I can’t do that. The debug page always comes up blank. I have enabled it and reset it, but it always comes up blank.

    Do you see the “Log reset” message in it? Please clear cache and disable any HTML/JS optimization feature that may break the button code on that page.

    I have hit the reset button and cleared the cache. I have no idea what the HTML/JS optimization is.

    The button code on that page is encoded. This feature must be coming from a plugin that you have. It could also come from your cache plugin.

    Please place the button on a separate page (without form) and share the link (https://wphowto.net/contact) so that we can run more tests.

    Someone in New Jersey just filled out the form and hit submit, and it went through. It must be one of my plug-ins.
