    Would you be able to check for errors in your browser error console so I can help you?

    Please follow these steps:

    1. Go to the screen where you’re experiencing the problem and open the browser developer tools. You can find instructions for each browser here – https://wordpress.org/support/article/using-your-browser-to-diagnose-javascript-errors/#step-3-diagnosis
    2. Reload the screen and check the Console tab for errors which will show in red.
    3. Take a screenshot or copy and paste these errors and send them to me and I can investigate this further.

    Thanks for the information @mat097.

    That error is happening because something is blocking All in One SEO from saving settings via the WordPress REST API.

    This could be either a security plugin installed on your site, or it could be a firewall or security application on the server. Either way, something is blocking access.

    You can use the official WordPress Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin to troubleshoot whether it’s a plugin – https://wordpress.org/plugins/health-check/

    Once that plugin is activated, you’ll see a Troubleshoot link when you hover over All in One SEO in the Plugins screen. Click that link to enable Troubleshooting mode and then see if you can reproduce the problem.

    If you think your hosting provider is using a firewall or security application then you can contact them to have them check their logs and troubleshoot this.

    I hope this helps. Please let me know what you find out. If this is happening to All in One SEO then it could also happen to any other plugin or WordPress feature that uses the WordPress REST API.

    I have installed and activated the plugin but it does not help, still the same problem – when i clicked the save button it turns to waiting and nothing more

    Hi @mat097,

    I didn’t see in your reply if you’d used the Health Check plugin to deactivate all other plugins and switch to the default theme to see if the problem persisted. This is a very important step in troubleshooting as it tells us if this is a server/hosting issue, or a plugin/theme conflict.

    Can you also right click on any screen where you can’t save settings and choose Inspect. Then click on the Network tab and reload the page. Please share with me a screenshot of what you see in the top of the Network tab as that will help us determine if this is a server issue.
