Features

• The plugin will automatically use a post or page’s featured image as the OG image if one is set; if not, it will fall back to the plugin’s global default OG image.

Usage

1. Step 1 – Select Logo

   • Choose the source of your OG image:
     • Site Logo: uses the logo configured in your theme. If not set, you’ll see: “No site logo configured. Please set your site logo in theme settings.”
     • Media Library: select an image from WordPress media library.
   • Selected box background turns accent color (#799EFF) and text becomes white.
   • Image preview shows white background for transparent logos.

2. Step 2 – Generate OG Image

   • Click “Generate OpenGraph Image” to create the global OG image.
   • The plugin automatically saves the image to:
     wp-content/uploads/ogm_global_image.png
   • Existing global OG image will be replaced automatically if regenerating.

3. Step 3 – Success / Verification

   • Shows generated OG image preview.
   • Clear instructions for testing:
     • Facebook: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/
     • LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/post-inspector/
   • Additional Notes:
     • Clear caches: page builder, Elementor, caching plugins, server-side caches if changes don’t appear immediately.
     • Changes may take 24 hours to fully reflect if multiple updates are done in a day.
     • Share your page on multiple platforms (Twitter, Slack, Discord, Facebook, LinkedIn) to trigger social bots.
     • Verify in page source (CTRL+U) → search for og:image. The URL should be:
       yoursite.com/wp-content/uploads/ogm_global_image.png.
