A separately distributed Pro edition is available from Backing U with additional workflow automation. The free WordPress.org edition does not contain disabled or paywalled Pro functionality. Information about the separate Pro product is available from the plugin’s Pro Version admin page.
Privacy
Assessment scoring is performed in the visitor’s browser. The plugin does not create a WordPress database submission containing participant answers, names or email addresses.
If a visitor chooses to email a result to themselves, the information they provide is sent to the WordPress server and processed through wp_mail() for that requested delivery.
If the site owner has configured an organisation quality/research email and the visitor separately opts in to anonymous sharing, the plugin can send a de-identified copy of the assessment responses/result to that organisation-controlled email address. This consent is separate from the participant’s own result-email option. The anonymous copy excludes the participant’s entered name and email address.
This WordPress.org edition does not send assessment data to Backing U or another fixed external research recipient.
Site owners should disclose their own email, hosting, analytics, security and privacy practices in their site privacy policy.
External services
This plugin does not require a Backing U API or external service to render or score assessments. Participant email delivery and optional organisation-owned anonymous sharing use the WordPress site’s configured mail system via wp_mail().
The Pro Version admin information page contains a normal external link to https://backingu.com.au/development-hub/ that is visited only if an administrator clicks it. No data is sent to that URL automatically.
