Meet the Artist!

just wanted to make a quick little introduction to my tumblr blog, for easy access to everything yall might need to know about me :3

I go by Snek and primarily use he/they/it pronouns, but frankly I'll respond to anything lol. I consider myself to be aroace and agender/genderqueer, got that AAA shit goin on B)

I am a digital artist and my COMMISSIONS ARE OPEN! I am also an amateur author and and aspiring animator :) Most of my content is art of my silly lil OCs or fanart of whatever my current interests are, including but not limited to:

  • Legends of Avantris (OUAW and Icebound only, haven't seen anything else yet
  • Aphmau roleplays (MCD, MYST)
  • Hades game
  • Cult of the Lamb
  • ACNH
  • MHA
  • She-Ra
  • Steven Universe

That said, I AM AN ADULT AND THIS IS AN ADULT BLOG! I won't block minors from following me (unless problems arise moving forward), but I would ask that you understand and respect that I may post more adult content and WILL NOT discuss any adult topics with any minors.

There are only a few tags that I use pretty regularly, mostly used for any art that I post. I also try hard to tag things such as nsft/nsfw, gore, sh, and anything else that could potentially be upsetting or triggering. If I miss anything on a post, please let me know! I want to make my blog a safe space for as many people as possible, and while I unfortunately can't accommodate for everyone I can still do these small things.

The thing about reclaiming slurs is that once you've been affectionally called 'faggot' by friends, loved ones, and amiable fellows on the internet for long enough, you almost forget that it means something else to people who hate you.

Honestly at this point if a stranger on the street yelled "hey faggot!" after me, I'd probably turn around like "what?" like they'd just casually called me by name, and they were only trying to get my attention because they wanted to tell me something, before processing that they're being hostile.

Neither Gid nor his Pa knew about this, they just knew that she had never returned home. His Pa thought she had left, and he was angry and upset (the amount of times Gideon would hear his father drunkenly curse his mother’s name is too high to count).

This, of course, happened when Gid was really young. And even now, as an adult, Gid doesn’t really hate her for leaving. He doesn’t really care about her at all. As far as he’s concerned, he has no mother at all.

Tbh i had this thought too. Genies are often characterized in dnd as being very flippant, rude, and just not that great to mortals, but I find the opposite more compelling. A genie being taken from their new life, separated from her baby and partner, without knowing if she'd ever see them alive again.

Of course Gideons father thought she left, that's what genies do when they get bored of meddling with puny humans, right? He was a damn fool to think she would be any different. Now all he has is what he had before, plus one new responsibility that looks exactly like her.

But Gideon never had memories to be upset at. Just the idea that someone had been there, and now they aren't. But Pa is still here, at least. There are worse childhoods, really.
