British sports team turns away from Israeli opponents during their national anthem

British team appear to turn backs during Israeli national anthem

Great Britain's wheelchair basketball team appeared to turn away from their Israeli opponents while Israel's national anthem was played.
The incident took place on Saturday, 16 August, during the Wheelchair Basketball Nations Cup held in Cologne.
Footage from other matches in the tournament indicated that other teams typically faced their opponents' flags during the playing of national anthems.
British Wheelchair Basketball confirmed they are aware of the incident and are engaged in internal discussions with ParalympicsGB, IWBF, and the Israeli Paralympic Committee.
