Aligarh Municipal Corporation issued a notice to Aligarh Muslim University demanding the clearance of Rs 24.4 crore in pending house tax dues within 15 days. The dues are for 18 properties owned by the university, dating back to 2017. Legal action may follow if not paid.
Two Agra police constables were suspended after a truck laden with illegally mined marble was stolen while under their watch. The truck was seized by a mining officer the day prior to the theft. Despite initial denial of the theft, an FIR was filed following the truck owner's complaint and an investigation was initiated.
